did you know when the C-5 galaxy first came out, Lockheed did offer to make a civil transport and cargo version. they said a civil C-5 like transport could carry 500-800 passengers in hotel like comfort. and oversized cargo would never be a problem. but alot of airlines said there would never be a need for such a large aircraft. hmmm well its been 20+ years and look whats happening .

I do like the C-5 but the thing is the engines seem proportionately small to the fuselage, almost wimpy. Slapping on another pair like in the AN-225 would solve the problem  Smile .

As an ex-loadmaster on C-5's, I'd have to say it's definitely my favorite. But, I also like the C-123K Provider, C-133 Cargomaster, and C-141A Starlifter.

As for fighters, I'll take an F-4J any day!!! The F-104 Starfighter is cool as hell too. My dad was a crew chief on those during Nam.

My favorite commercial liner would be the Boeing 777.
