I was in hopes there would be a stop here in Kansas City as there was back in the 80's with the shuttle!!
(Disclaimer: I do realize the previous stop was with the Enterprise and was on a tour, not an actual space faring vehicle)

Quoting Seefivein (Reply 4): The pairing were to take in Altus AFB in Oklahoma - for an overnight stop - before heading to Columbus AFB, Mississippi,
Damn, they couldn't have done that when I was in UPT at Columbus, could they! Of course, that was 1984, and the program was a little different back then.

By the time I remembered the flight was today and checked flightaware, the C17 was already passed. I'm just glad I saw it at all, about 4 or 5 more minutes and I'd have missed it altogether.
They are landing in Fort Bliss about now.
Edit: And to be totally honest, I'm a little paranoid that I may have seen the C17 and assumed it was the 747. From that distance it with the sun also to the south, it was just a dark shape, Since I did not know there was a C17, I may have seen that since we can only guess the flightuaware delay time. I think it was the ferry flight, but...

They could be doing a flyby at EFD before proceeding to BAD, or maybe even landing at EFD. With the program ending in 2010, this might be the last time they have an opportunity to do either. HOU and BAD weather is showing clear skies, so the could do either EFD or BAD.
