Topic: Help Me Name My Kitty Username: FlyingNanook Posted 2005-12-20 07:00:12 and read 2425 times.I just adopted a new kitty and I'm taking him home tomorrow after he gets fixed. I'm trying to think of a name for him, but I'm drawing a blank. I'd like to name him something aviation or math related, but I'm open to anything. Right now, I'm leaning towards calling him Mobius, or Moby for short. What are any of your suggestions?
If it helps, he's about a year old, average sized, medium hair, and he's brown and white. His name at the pound was Oreo, for some reason lost on me.
Thanks for any and all suggestions. |

Why Bernoulli's Principle of course involving fluid dynamics...like the air flow over and under an airplane wing condensed into a nice equation.

We were joking about that in the office earlier today. Maybe if it was an all white kitty, but I just couldn't name a brown and white cat after a polar bear, could I? Plus I don't have that much alma mater/employer pride.
I also like Bernoulli (Bernie for short) and Gimli.

Was he broken when you bought him? I'd take him back. Or is this work being performed under warranty?
Well, considering that you are "getting him fixed", I guess naming him "multiplication" is out of the question, right?
Seriously, how about "Aileron" or "Airfoil", or maybe even "Rudder", but that sounds too much like "Udder". "VeeOne?" "Rotate?" "Turbine?" "Touchdown?" "Vapor?"

Your an a$$ h**e.
My cat acts the same way, but all cats have a soft side. They'll cuddle up in your lap for a nap, and be very affectionate and loyal if you treat them well.
Try it some time...You might see cats are not as bad as you make them out to be.

It depends more on how you make them. Tamales are pretty good but you have to boil the meat first or they won't be tender enough!
Ground up like hamburger meat is good if you want to go the enchilada route, though. Just add plenty of sauce, it's kind of a "gamey" meat. Ironically, it tastes like chicken.

Look really the name is not going to matter... its going to do something really stupid and force you to give it a nickname which is going to stick and then you'll forget the really name in the first place...
We just call my cat "fireballs." Go figure!
But if you're really stuck, might I suggest the following:
CHUCK NORRIS (Math related because Chuck Norris is the only person ever to be able to divide by zero)
INTEGER (just sounds cool)
BODMAS (sounds kinda quirky)
Charlie Uniform November Tango (you could shorten it!)
otherwise just go with the honarary naming:

HAWKING
