Anybody noticed that you can't really sell stuff on Ebay any more? It seems to be so saturated now that you can hardly make a good deal, from a seller's point of view. I've earned a whole pile of $$$ being a seller on Ebay, but that was back in 2001.

I just got a 1/200 Lufthansa 744 (Herpa) that I purchased using Miles, to avoid expiry. The model retails for 44 Eur, so I thought about selling it on ebay. But then I see the same model on sale for 25, with few hours left to go. Doesn't seem to make any sense selling now. Rather keep that Boeing.

I bought a sofa for 10p. It was as good as new, and they delivered it to us for free as well. I also bought a computer without an operating system for £30, put Windows XP on and sold it for £130.

Been slowing accumulating the things I need for a home bar and found that decent bar mirrors were quite pricey (some as high as $50 or $75). Found this baby on eBay for a mere $8. Shipping was a little high, but I flippin' love this thing. The gold leaf/foil behind the lettering, the look of the 'etched' photo in the lower center.. Mirror measures about 2 feet by 3 feet, maybe a lil smaller.

Quite a steal if I do say so myself.

I have sold tons of crap on eBay, but your right, it's a buyers market on eBay right now, the only time I made money was back in November when I bought 8 XBOX 360's the day they came out, threw them on a 24 hour auction and pulled in 1300.00 USD a piece, best idea of my life! Waiting outside was a little cold, but other than that it was gold!

Are you the prick that outbid me in the last second for a Labatt Blue and Budweiser mirror?  Wink

If you ever want tickets to a Toronto show let me know. If you listen to the Fan 590 in Toronto you'll probably recognize the name Howie from Richmond Hill, he's a friend of the family and can get tickets to anything in Toronto and most venues in North America right up to about an hour before the show, but you do pay a premium of course. But hell, I got U2 tickets the day of the show, so I can't complain!

I would say those will be going away soon. Incredible theft of them here in the US by employees to sell em on eBay....the program was scrapped.

As for my best deal. 6 months of the Wall Street Journal for $26.

Regards

Buy 2, qualify for "supersaver" free postage and packing!

I haven't had many bargains on eBay in the last few years. I think most people are clue'd up enough about selling that the real "steals" aren't there anymore. I've only sold a couple of times and to be hosest it's been more hassle than it's worth.

I had my cell phone stolen, that model costs about $250 here in Nassau.

I found the same phone (condition: new) on eBay Germany for 70 Euros. As I still had the American charger, that was no problem.
