Ok folks, my wife thinks I'm weird (as do many folks) but I really like Mariachi music and would like to know some band names I can check out and see if I want to buy the albums. Thanks for the help.

XM has a few channels dedicated to Hispanic music. For the price of the unit, and service, beats buying a few CDs. The display shows the artist and the track, so if you hear something you like, by a certain musician, you can locate more.

I dunno anything about mariachi music, but something close is Los Lobos's East of LA album. Avoid their later stuff completely however.
You should really post on some of the music sites.
This site in particular is good for that kind of thing. Populated by fools, but they DO know their music.
