Sitting here at work, bored.
Was watching Cardinals v. Brewers on Fox. Hope the Astros go back to the World Series and fight it out against the Yankees. Would love to catch a B6 flight outta AUS up to New York for a game.
I had some yogurt and cereal for breakfast today.
Got this photo at the Barbara Jordan Terminal this morning.
Tell me your thoughts.

1. The Background itself is custom created for my website (www.powerplaygoal.com) and looks much better when your screen is working properly.
2. I like to be akward, and it was the first tea I ever saw play hockey a while back on Ch5s 2am NHL magazine show.

[Chorus]
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
In '77 and '69 revolution was in the air
I was born too late into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
When the head of state didn't play guitar
Not everybody drove a car
When music really mattered and when radio was king
When accountants didn't have control
And the media couldn't buy your soul
And computers were still scary and we didn't know everything
[Chorus]
When pop stars still remained a myth
And ignorance could still be bliss
And when god saved the queen she turned a whiter shade of pale
My mom and dad were in their teens
And anarchy was still a dream
And the only way to stay in touch was a letter in the mail
[Chorus]
When record shops were still on top
And vinyl was all that they stocked
And the super info highway was still drifting out in space
Kids were wearing hand me downs
And playing games meant kick arounds
And footballers still had long hair and dirt across their face
[Chorus]
I was born too late into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair.

Somebody should tell Oscar Arias down here to introduce DST! Unless he fears that the unions will do blockades or start riots like they did when there were plans of a privatisation and to end the monoply of the state owned ICE (the power and phone company), which, thanks to the Unions and their two day General Strike, never happened.
**POLITICAL RANT WARNING**
This is something that pissess me off about Costa Rican Unions. They hint that they're fighting for the good of the country, yet do more harm than good with their strikes (which consist of either a simple work stoppage and excessive slow driving on city streets and motorways to make a statement (that's the so-called "torguguismo") or just blockade major motorways and cutting the rest of the damn country off from major fuel supplies, like two years ago). Damn those Unions. Somebody should regulate them and face them without fear of strikes. If they start this "torguguismo" over some random crap, or they start these motorway blockades again, the government should send the police to stop them immediately, and not wait up to a week for that. The government always pissess their pants when they have to deal with those Unions, not only Oscar Arias does that but also Miguel Ángel Rodríguez and Abel Pacheco got frightened over them.
Strikes are overrated in this country, because those who strike, interfere in the worst way with the vast majority of those who only mind their own business and want to go to work, or just do something nice with the day, yet get kicked in the ass by those radical Unions. I got nothing against Unions, but some of those just don't want to make an effort to avoid strikes and be willing make a compromise with the people in charge, not only here but also in other countries. I'll gladly change the tortuguismo for the rail service strike that happened in France.
Rant over.

Here is a little something that I wrote on-board a delayed 4 hour Virgin train journey, if you read it, it almost makes sense (taken from my blog):
Riding Home For Christmas, & How France Could Be Taken Over By Pigs
Well there's one thing in this country that we can always be proud of; no matter how much money we pump into our beleaguered railways, buying new rolling stock and pinching ideas from the Europeans we can still make our trains late for absolutely no reason at all. My train from Birmingham to Plymouth didn't encounter the wrong kind of leaves on the line, nor did it find the wrong kind of snow, it was happy with the right kind of passengers and it didn't even object to having the wrong kind of water sprayed over it as we passed the sea front at Dawlish. It was just late because some idiot couldn't push the buttons to change the points at the right time. There is no hope for the system if one person cannot perform their job without the need for an extra long coffee beak, due no doubt to the work related stress of reaching all the way forwards over their six stomachs to push one little button on a diagram. Now that we can train monkeys and pigs to push the right button at the right time to get a food reward I suggest we put them in the control rooms, it would be cheaper and we'd get more work out of them - when did you last see an overweight Monkey smoking a cigarette whilst looking at child porn on the internet? Yes, Network Rail's annual bill for Bananas may well quadruple and the pigs will shit all over the floor - but the best bit is that if they decide they need a pay rise, or more food as a reward for the over complicated role of pressing a few buttons then there would be no union to order the umpteenth strike of the year, causing Doris from Stratford to miss her train, shock horror, I expect the local paper would be glad of getting a few less readers' letters from Doris too. Fantastic, and if they still refused to work then Mr Piggy working in the control room of Gloucester signal box could become the filling in the bacon rolls on the 8.22 to Cardiff. Of course I wouldn't want to eat the monkeys, stick them under the next Eurostar train to Paris in exchange for a few desperate Albanians and let the French make them into waiters who you expect to be lazy; demand tips and then spit in your soup. Although knowing our continental cousins they probably would make them into soup de la monkey and charge the upper classes hundreds of euros to feast on our own ancestors. This would also leave the problem of what Mrs Piggy, her children, grandchildren and the 600 great grand children do. Well after a stab at working in a signal box we could eat them too, but then the Israelis would claim that we're having a holocaust against pigs, though we can count on the support of the Iranians no doubt to stringently deny this. Yet again it seems far more convenient just to send them to France and let those beret wearing buffoons deal with them. After all, France has given us so much over the years (although all I can think of is half a Concord(e) at the moment), so it's about time we gave them something back. Here Mr Frenchman, have several ferry loads of pigs trained to push buttons. Sadly though I fear that introducing something as intelligent as a pig to a country such as France would lead to the second revolution and a scenario similar to that of Animal Farm where Chirac has to run for his life to the next country squealing loudly and Napoleon the boar takes over, come to think of it that wouldn't be the first time either. It's a bit of an inditement really to France and Great Britain's armed forces to suggest that a passel of pigs could defeat our long time military rivals (come on admit it we all hate the French). No doubt our boys would give it a go, but judging by local news developments they would probably end up wrestling stark naked in a Normandy field, and presumably wouldn't notice the pigs slipping past to claim victory for their kind. One can only imagine the response of the European community. Bliar would be first to shake old Napoleon's trotter and pledge a whole battalion of first fighting naked English men should he ever want to go to war in the Middle East, I doubt Bush could tell the difference between a pig and Chirac so for the first time ever he might manage to hold a conversation on his own with another country's leader, Spain would send their entire army, which would get lost in the Pyrenees, the Italians frankly could not be bothered and the Swiss stay neutral anyway. Germany should be keen to have another go at invading France, but once the Sat Nav on their shiny new BMW tanks goes wrong then oh dear they'll end up from here to Argentina and as soon as the Dutch realise they cannot fit their battleships down a canal they'll abandon ship and head for the nearest bar, the Dutch are to cool for war anyway, one might hurt his finger pulling a trigger. So this leaves the French with one hope, the Capital of the E.U. old Bruxelles itself and here is something Napoleon might not have thought of in his rush to get from the English Channel and invade Paris; did he have his passport and animal identification number with him. Still, one would hope that if France had truly been liberated that idiotic regulations like this would no longer be adhered to.
So, I have in a way and by a very long winded route proved myself hypothetically wrong. Our railways can once again be at the forefront of something, oh yes, very soon every country in the world will need a regiment of pigs capable of invading France and our very own Network Rail has the power to train them in their first step to push buttons. However, much as this would be a very pleasant and amusing change to the world's political scene, I would much prefer it if the lazy signalmen at Birmingham New Street would stay awake so that mine, and others' trains can leave on time. You never know, your lapse of consciousness could cause a revolution!

Quoting LTU932 (Reply 71): Why is that? Same problems with the Unions?
No, not the unions... but all sorts of groups striking, protesting, and blocking the streets. The usual suspects are the ex-paramilitary groups, demanding compensation for their "services" during the civil war; and the public school teachers, opposing the changes this government is trying to introduce in the public education system... I understand their disagreement with some of these changes, but most of them aim to improve the quality of education in Guatemala. I mean, having the 2nd place in Latin America when it comes to illiteracy, just behind Haiti, is not something to be proud of.
Their favorite spots to block? The city center (namely in front of the Congress), the business area, the roads coming from other departments into the city (and I happen to live next to one of them), and the road to the airport.

Peanut butter is the manna of the gods, the ambrosia of Olympus, the summum bonum of the culinary art. You have earned yourself an automatic fixed penalty Fatwah for blasphemy and schism. Present yourself to the nearest football stadium for 1000 lashes and immediate beheading.
Quoting PlymSpotter (Reply 72): when did you last see an overweight Monkey smoking a cigarette whilst looking at child porn on the internet?
Sounds like Saturday night at Pe@rson's.
My own random thoughts...
The Simpsons in French really sucks.
The plants in the small pots on my terrace are both dead.
It's the middle of October and I'm sitting in shorts with all the windows and terrace doors open. Can't be bad.
I need to frame some photo's too.
My apartment is a mess.
I wonder if I'll ever go up into space.
I've never been in a hot air balloon.

You're just jealous because with your pallid pasty scrawny stumps you can't get away with shorts, even when the sun does make it over the horizon and through the fog of your sub-Arctic outcropping.
I on the other hand am bronzed and gorgeous and have shapely ankles. :-P

Umm. Yes. My life's ambitious is to become a stout, elderly, balding and irascible grease monkey well past his sell-by date, who lives on a rocky protuberance in the middle of the North Sea. What more could life possibly offer ?
Tee hee. Don't worry Andy we lovelikerespecttolerate don't actually loathe you too much

Yes, you just comfort yourself with that pitiful delusion, and drown your sorrows in a small port-and-lemon.
