Topic: What Do You Buy On eBay? Your Best Deals? Username: Sabena332 Posted 2006-10-23 22:30:57 and read 2396 times.Hi all,
I am curious how many of you are using eBay and what you're usually buy there. Also, what was the best deal you made there?
As for me: I found out that eBay is the perfect place to buy tickets for the football stadium. I made another good deal just yesterday, I bought two tickets for the upcoming Bochum vs. Wolfsburg game, I paid 9.99 EUR/each ticket while the regular price for one ticket is 18.00 EUR. Last week I bought two tickets for the Dortmund vs. Bochum game, I paid 57.00 EUR for both (incl. shipping) while the regular price for both had been 62.00 EUR.
What about you?

Topic: RE: What Do You Buy On EBay? Your Best Deals? Username: Leezyjet Posted 2006-10-23 23:33:12 and read 2372 times.I bought a 1 year old Laptop with P4 2.5ghz that would have retailed for around £1000 for £300 !!.
I also got a 1 year old Garmin GPS96c Aviation gps system for £326 that retails for over £400 - not the biggest saving, but still an extra £80 in my pocket.
I've had loads of bits for my car too, got a good deal on my alloy wheels through ebay - but didn't buy them off there - actually went to the shop directly and got 5 brand new alloy wheels for £300 - the ebay auction closed at £300 for 4 wheels - so buy going to the shop I got an extra one "free" !!.
I also got a CRP-5 flight computer for £40 that retails for over £80 - still a hell of a lot of money for a piece of plastic - but essential for any commercial pilot in training !!!.

Username: Legoguy Posted 2006-10-23 23:40:00 and read 2367 times.I always buy my mobile phone off there although I have lost some money when I first started using ebay when I bought a phone. Now I would not consider buying anything expensive unless the seller had paypal cover rotection.
Also buy CD's, the odd t shirt...which I rarely wear, books for University and just small acessories for my mp3 player (also off ebay )
Its a great place AS LONG as you can spot the fake auctions. |

Whay the hell would any self-respecting man buy twat-nav?
Surely given your choice of career you can read a bloody map!

Not much use in cities, though
Anyway, its more for the geekery value, I like having stuff like that, even though I may never use it. The £65 saving off RRP also helped!

Psst... we're talking good deals here...
I haven't bought anything in over a year, but when I do it's usually Snoopy/Peanuts stuff. I once got 6 pairs of Snoopy earrings for less than $10, incl. shipping all the way from the Netherlands.
On the other hand, I once paid $275 (incl. shipping) for one Thalia CD (a rare collectors' edition sold only in the Philippines). And it wasn't even for my use, since I gave it to a friend of mine as a gift... man, the crazy things one does for love!

Furniture, rug, table and chairs and blinds....all well cheaper than buying from a store. The seller on eBAY was a wholesale warehouse outlet and the stuff was brand new and in perfect condition. I am absolutely sure the equivalent from a shop/shops would have been almost twice the price - Good ol' eBay great place to buy stuff!!

What did you get then
I've bought just a few of things, an L1011 Cargo Door Manual, and a couple of model trains. I've sold a few things too, but only have 9 transactions in total so far.

I don't really buy anything in particular from there. I recently bought a 15m network cable for about £4 delivered, which I thought was okay.

Why would you willfully expose yourself to such torchery as watching a Cleveland Browns football game???

I usually just sell myself out on Ebay for sex. It's alot easier than trying to pick up women. Although, Hooters works pretty well too.

This is common on ebay. People will list things for a crazy Buy It Now price, but charge over the odds for postage.
I believe it helps them get around paying higher fees to ebay for listing. Is this also not against their T&C so not strictly legit?

I found them because when i typed in i mis-spelled rolf as well.
These are about 800-1000 bucks a pair.....I fully expected for the seller not to ship them...

Username: PSA53 Posted 2006-10-27 22:43:16 and read 2098 times. With my business,I buy used Nextel product, which are very hard to find for replacement phones with customers who have no insurance and can't afford a new phone price. While unlock GSM phones is very easy to find anywhere,CDMA
phones ,is a no-no.They either are still on line or have money owed in which the serial number is still tied to the carrier.
Another thing I buy, are CD and DVD's of european artists,in which you can't find in the US.But I never buy from asian shipper markerts, because of local laws, censor a lot. |
