Yes, I realize this is an odd question...but I've been scanning aerial pix on Virtual Earth and don't see it...why do I care? I'm trying to resolve some trip notes and need the exact milage from the plaza to the NJ/NY border in the middle of the GWB...so are there any nearby streets/exits/landmarks, or relation to other exits that I can use to spot it, so I can then do some other calcs...thanks!

Look at where the turnpike splits south of the GWB. I believe it's the service center that's right there.

Thanks! With that info, I was finally able to spot it! I was looking for it in the wrong place, but given that the last two times I was there were at night, and things look different then, so I didn't get a good idea of what it might look like from the air....

Ask any helicopter pilot in the NYC area and they'll be able to tell you... It's a landmark used in a number of different helicopter routes in and out of the city and to/from TEB and EWR

Just look for a big truckstop in the middle of the turnpike. Quite a dump I must say, but they do have a good BBQ joint inside.
