So my friends and I are trying to plan a trip to the Caribbean, and we are on a budget of sorts, but not too tight a budget. We were shooting for about $800 per week accomadation for maybe a rented house or condo or flat. We are also trying to keep the flight cost to a minimum, right now we are agreed to about $275 round trip fare LAX-NAS-LAX on AA via MIA. But we don't know the first thing about what islands are nice, and indeed what specific areas of each island are nice - we were looking at Nassau, but don't know whats a good area of the island!

Could anyone please help out in recommending good islands in the Caribbean and good vacaction spots? Great deals would be ideal, and also great airfares to get there would be a plus. There's just five of us looking for a great time on a nice tropical beach that is not overcrowded! Thanks!

Vacation date: March 8, 2007 - March 15, 2007.

There are lots of good reasonable guest houses in BGI and if you go to the BGI website you can pick and choose, look at Intimate Hotels especially and I am sure you can get a last minute deal with Virgin or BA, as they ae waiting for the World cup in late March so a lot of their seats might be empty right now

Did you consider doing a cruise? You'll have free food and accomodations, and you'll get to see a bunch of different places.
