I have just started reading The World According To Clarkson By Jeremy Clarkson.

The book so far is amazing and by far the funniest book i have ever read.

The best book i have ever read i think is Dan Browns, Angels & Demons or Tom Clancy's Red Rabbit.

Whats your favorite book?

Tom

I just read "The Pure Land" by Alan Spence. It's such an awesome piece of work, and anyone who likes Japanese culture owes themselves to read this! It's a unisex book too, so it works whether you're mail or female  Smile

It's about the life of Tom Glover- a scottish guy who leaves his home country for the "edge of the world" (Japan) in 1700-something. The book follows him- through his sexual escapades with courtessans, through a marriage with a Japanese woman who dies during childbirth, one more marriage, his trading business, when he learns the way of the samurai, his encounters with the Shogun and the rise of the, even today, well-known company that he built, with the help of previous samurai.

It's a story based on true events, and it's simply magnificent... you'll also learn a few basic phrases of Japanese and it's very entertaining with it's very morbid sense of humour Big grin Just read it!

Oh... and right now, I'm reading "Around The World In A Bad Mood" by Renee Foss, "Travelling By The Seat Of My Pants" by Marsha Marks and "Air Babylon" by Imogen Edwards. All of these are stories told by flight attendants and everyone who's an aviation enthusiast or a frequent traveller should read the books- not only will it help you understand if your f/a is a bit moody, it'll also shed a bit of light on the corrupt way of various airlines- it's a hilarious read, that's for sure! Big grin

I've just borrowed Executive Orders by Tom Clancy and am absolutely loving it. Politics, action, drama, what more could a little nerd want?

Just working my way through

It surprises me that the people of developing world have anything to do with us after the way we've treated them, and continue to do so, over the past decades.

Others.... I like the Lee Child "Reacher" series, though sometimes I feel there is complexity for the sake of.

Robert Ludlum, I've real all of... apart from his recent posthumous ones. I think Parsifal Mosaic is the best. Road to Gandolfo/Omaha also funny.

Chris Ryan's "The One That Got Away." Basically the mission where if it could have gone wrong it did.

Andy McNab's "Immediate Action", life up to joining the SAS and going to the Gulf in '91.

I know Greg Palast isn't too popular amongst the more monied amongst us, mainly it would seem, because he shows who got screwed for the rich to get richer. Last night there was a report on tv by him about so called vulture funds (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/6363139.stm)

One of the best books I've read in the last few months is definitely Rowland White's "Vulcan 607". It was recommended in one post on these forums about half a year back and I must say that, in my opinion, it has lived up to its recommendations. Read it about 3-4 times, a very captivating and facinating book, written like a first-class thriller, but is actually documentary.

Does it matter what order you read them in?

As I said, I just started reading Executive Orders and according to wikipedia it is the 9th book in the series.
