Who will buy? Will their be an extravagant jubilee to mark 100 years of losing?!  Silly

Go Cubs!

Cuban has made no bones about wanting to buy a baseball team (and a hockey team).

The Cubs is like fine wine...it takes time.  Wink No matter what they're still the first team of Chicago.

Cool. He can take over both the Cubs and the Blackhawks.

Yeah, but he's made it very clear that he wants one baseball team in particular:

I can only hope and pray that McClatchy and the Nuttings finally let go and let someone who actually wants to run a winning ball club buy the team.

As for hockey he's also stated he wants to be more the backing partner and not involved in the day-to-day operations of the club. Once more, back when the Penguins were on the block he was part of an ownership group consisting of himself, NYC financier Andy Murstein, and Dan Marino. As a Steeltown boy himself, I think it'd be great if Cuban could buy into the ownership of either the Pens or the Bucs.

Maybe the new owner will give me a chance at the Majors.

Signed, Mark Prior.

If they change the name to something like Tampax Field, I'm going to go apes**t.

They would never change that name. Wrigley Field is the real Star of that organization.

I never said Wrigley was bad. Its not like that dump Fenway, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have large chunks of concrete falling here and there.

Never had the privilege..anything like the old Comiskey where you stood in ankle deep piss water in the johns? Nostalgia is great when you're watching the game on TV,but kind of loses something when you're at the place..

There's plenty of nostalgia, but lets face it. Fenway stopped being fresh around 1950. I don't care how many seats they put in top of the Green Monster, how many new snack stands they put in, or how much clam chowder they try and serve, Fenway is just begging for demolition. Boston needs a new park with bigger capacity and that has a dome so it can be multi-purpose.
