I just bought a used car with the regular wheels with hub caps. Can I have the alloy wheels installed in this car? How much would it cost me? Of course it depends on the alloy wheels. But how much if we consider not so fancy ones? Any finally, where can I have this installed.

You can go to www.tirerack.com and enter whatever year/make/model of car you have, and it will produce a list of wheels which will fit.

They can also recommend a local installer, and can deliver the wheels right to them, so the first time you see them is actually on your car

Unless you REALLY REALLY want them, and plan on keeping the car for a long time, dont waste your money. They will not increase the value of the car at all, and you will never get your money back on them.

Look on eBay. Find out what lug pattern and offset it has, and browse online from there.

Is it worth it for your type of car? No. Alloy rims are prone to getting bent from pot holes and also can have leak problems.

Check eBay for deals!

While searching around for new 'shoes' for my Yukon, I bought a brand new set of 22" rims with brand new rubber all mounted and balanced for $2,300 CDN including the shipping to my front door. You CANNOT beat that kind of price.

Back on topic: If you really want factory rims, they're not that hard to find on ebay. Also, some local custom rim shops will have factory take-offs to sell. Just be sure to get the correct lug nuts to go with the wheels you bought. Factory Toyota rims use mag-style lugs with a built-in washer, whereas dealer-installed Toyota rims use regular lug nuts and aren't as well-made. Factory Toyota rims have the stylized "T" symbol on the center cap, whereas the dealer-installed ones have a stylized mobius strip (or figure 8) on the center cap.

Thanks a lot for you help guys. But I think it's not worth spending money on Alloy Wheels for a USED Toyota. And the car is for the wife. I bet she wont even notice the Alloy Wheels until I tell her. So I am thinking of keeping the regular wheels with hub caps.

Smart move.
If you do insist on buying a different set of wheels for this car, look for the stock aluminum rims that came as an option with the 2002 Toyota Camry. The bolt patterns are the same, has the Toyota emblem, it's stock and doesn't look ghetto fabulous. People will laugh at you for putting aftermarket rims on a Camry.
