Imagine that you've just learned that in 48 hours you will become the "Most Wanted" person in the world. You will be accused of a crime you did not commit. But, it will be absolutely impossible to prove your innocence.

What is your plan to evade capture and "disappear" in the next 48 hours? Where in the world will you go? You have the equivilent of $100,000 in your country's currency. Will you attempt to "buy protection" in a corrupt Third World country? Would you attempt to "blend in" in a major city? Or, would you hide yourself in a very rural area? Would you purposefully seek a location where you know the language and do not "stand out" by your physical appearance? Certainly, radically changing your appearance will be very high on your agenda.

I will kill myself if I have the change to do so.

I would apply for a job at the TSA...

Seriously, I wouldn't want to vanish and be miserable. That would mean getting a new identity, growing a beard and fitting in somewhere. As a start, I would Google 'Federal Witness Relocation Program'...but skip 'Tora Bora'.

I would no longer be able to use my credit cards and drivers license, so I'll have to get a fake ID and ss#. I don't see moving out of the US as I do like hanging out at Borders. No point being on the lam and being miserable.

To do this successfully, you would need more than $100K - more like $1M.

By the way, I'm on to the OT. He's hoping OBL will post in a careless moment, and ends up with a big reward.

Not that it matters for this hypothetical, but the burden is on the prosecution to prove my guilt. All I'd have to do is put in some reasonable doubt.

Erm, no.

This is actually the best way to avoid detection.

If you hang out in Canada or USA you will get caught eventually. We are to electronically wired society. Somewhere you will have a run in with the police.

I would head to a warm country with no extradition and live on a beach.

Despite everything the government would have you believe, it's really not that difficult to "construct" a new identity complete with all required documentation. Obviously, I'm not going to outline how on the internet, but it can be done.

Usually it's done by with criminal intent, but it could also be done to "hide" your true identity.

So..... I'd disappear, start the process of "creating" a new id, and set up a new life for myself. As for your "look" well a beard/shave, hair color, colored contacts, etc, can all change your appearance enough to not be readily recognized.

The UK has borders too. Well, we did until they went bankrupt.

As for me, head to Brazil - they have no extradition treaty with the UK.

Before Christmas, I think. It was their own fault though, it was so expensive in there and you could usually get it for cheaper on amazon or even in WHSmiths or something.

Ronald Biggs did that. Lived in Rio (if i' not mistaken) until 2001, when he voluntaily returned to te U.K.,wherehe served a few years in jail. Was released in 2009 on compassionate grounds, due to failing health.

I would move to another country where I spoke the langauge (not english...), and attempt to assimilate as best as possible. I guess it helps that I have a very "pan-ehtnic" look. 100k is a lot of money if you know how to use it best.

That's why I chose it.

I don't speak Portuguese though, or any Romance language for that matter. I'd hide myself in a rural area as well, but not so remote I'm completely cut off if I want to get out of the bush in a hurry.

I bought a few Language books but that's about it. Loved the smell of coffee though, even though I don't drink much of it

Why would you do that for? You should somewhere like in this picture and hide amongst the locals
