Just thought I'd take a minute to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone on airliners.net. The airline industry is CRAZY these days, and those of us in the biz have gotten used to taking NOTHING for granted--but that's kind of like the rest of the world. Everyone is watching their backs these days. And yes, a-netters, airline people do read this forum--and we appreciate your honesty (my friends at AA, UA, DL, VX, B6--you know who you are, and I know you agree!). And you guys would NOT believe how often we find out about new routes or initiatives (and lights up our internal email networks!) on here! So YES we are lurking.

But my hope is that all of you in the airliners.net world have a wonderful Thanksgiving. If you're in the US, spend Thursday giving thanks for your happiness. If you're not in the US--join your American friends and just for a few moments on Thursday and take some time to give thanks for what you have. Some of us have more than others. Some have nothing--so let's find a way to help them. It's funny--about 20 years ago in a Southwest Airlines class a group of 30 of us were set up to play a game in which different Teams were pitted to try and steal resources from each other to "win" the game. Thirty seconds in, someone threw his cards up and said "There's enough for everyone! Who needs what?" And you know what? He was right. That has stuck with me for all this time. On the whole--there is enough for everyone. What's fun about this forum is that we may not like every airline brand or schedule decision but we all are passionate about this industry. Let's (metaphorically) unite and say that yes, we get it...and we are together in promoting this fantastic industry's future!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I'm outta here to go spoil my FIRST GRANDBABY rotten! LOL

First time in 6 years not flying on Turkey Day! Plan on sipping scotch and watching Cowboys struggle to win a football game!

Yeehaw!

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Every year my Thanksgiving turkey tastes "fowl"

Well it is an evening game and a great time to eat that left over turkey sandwich along with a slice of pecan pie.

The Cowboys are just going to have to put their big boy pants on and pony up and play some football. Quite a disappointment this season.

I'll be at work for 12 hours, 6pm to 6am all night on Graciasgiving; but I really could use the extra dough so I'm not complaining too loudly.

And work takes pretty good care of us when we work this night; they bring us catered victuals from Lunds!!

And a Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

We're going to get fat & happy with family (especially grandkids) and friends. Then we are driving the next day to Branson to see the lights at Silver Dollar City - now a favorite of the grandkids. The best part is that we totally miss Black Friday!

My Thanksgiving started late last week, however, when I went to Sam's and loaded up a flatbed trolly with food for the DAV to hand out. A case of this and a case of that - there was a pretty long list and I just said to hell with it. Took the Post Office attitude - if it fits it ships. Loaded up the car and went to the DAV office to unload. I was the first one to deliver food to them and I got more pleasure out of it than they did.

I hope everyone has a safe and fantastic Thanksgiving! Safe travels as well! I meandered my way on through the zoo of an airport MSP today. Hope nobody got stuck anywhere!
Best Wishes all

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you are all able to enjoy it with your families, friends or loved ones. We'll be heading out to a barbeque place in Petone that is putting on a Thanksgiving spread for a lot of us expats. And on Saturday a group of us will cook our own food and celebrate it.

And, I don't want to lose any of you. As I will post on my Facebook page:
I don't want to lose anyone but if it's between being unfriended or a friend dying from holiday travel, exploding turkey's (frying the gobbler), food poisoning or death by Turducken well, then I'll take being unfriended!

To all of you a fantastic Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, my American friends. Not a holiday we celebrate here but it is an important date and tradition for you, so my best wishes to all. Be safe, enjoy your family, stuff yourselves, enjoy the football and donĀ“t kill anyone at the stores on Friday.

Best regards,

MGGS
