Hello. I am planning on attending Johnson State College (JSC) next fall. I filled out all the forums, got accepted and just finished all the papers on rooms and all the good stuff. I payed my $200 for admission, and they said I am gurarteed to get a spot in the freshman class. The problem is as of late, I've been doing bad in my French II class. I don't know if JSC requires 2 years of a foreign lanuage, but I am assuming they do. If I fail French (currently getting a 69) will that guartee be demolished or how would that work? I hear that JSC is not picky and "everyone gets into Johnson."

Man, you and all those "guartees."  

The college has your money. They will want more. You will most likey get in.

If you do get in, there will probably be a dictionary available, but I don't think you'll find 'guartee' or 'gurantee(d)' in it  

Things may have changed since I went to school, but IIRC, GPA wasn't brought down by poorer grades in an elective foreign language. Anyhoo, good luck! Regards...Jack

They may want you to take a noncredit bearing course first. Many colleges do that when students could be successful, but need a little more academic development. You could also probably take it over this summer at a community college.

If it all possible drop the class, so you won't be in jeopardy not getting into the school

Beleive little of what a school writes down for you, less of what they tell you.

They promised you that you are in, you probably are ok since they have your money and want more. Just remember schools are only in the game for money, they don't care about anything else.

you are telling him to "beleive" little that the school tells him, yet you recognize that since the school sent a confirmation, he is probably ok. Do you even know what you are talking about?

If you do end up failing French, you will need to take a remedial French class to catch up with everyone else. I would take it during the summer as Nancy stated as the classes are much easier and relaxed. (knowing that if you have to take it during the summer, there is a reason for it)
