hi all
just wondering if anyone can help me with the name of the music that has the narrator speaking and the song playing, then the music stops and the narrator speaks some more and the music starts again?!?!

its from the old version not the new one!

Are you talking about Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds, which was out in the 70s? I think Richard Burton was the narrator

The above emntioned 2 disk cd is BLEEDIN amazing

I had the original on LP, but had to re-buy it on CD as no LP player anymore.

I love this soundtranck more than the first film. Its got some great pieces of music on it

Back in the late eighties Ben Liebrand Remixed this and brought it right up to date (for then) nad reached no. 3 in the UK.

I've got the CD single - sounds a bit dated now..!

it is a great album, I too have it on vinyl and cd nad it has been in the car stereo constantly for the last fortnight.!
Being a bit niggly , it is not a soundtrack, more of a concept album along the lines of the sort of thing Rick Wakeman used to produce.
I was very dissapointed with the booklet with the cd version. In the vinyl version it contained a narrative whereas the cd version just has the lyrics. Have to say I prefered the older version.
