To all the Madonna fans out there which are counting the minutes till you can listen to her new album so that you can buy it in the stores...

MTV has offered it's viewers a sneak-peak where you can listen to the ENITRE (yes I mean all of it Big grin ) album on their website.

It's so good, I am asking myself why she wasn't making dance music all along. She ROCKS  bouncy

Then again if she wasn't so varied in the music she has made in the past decades, I probably wouldn't appreciate her music as much as I do now!

Great work Madonna... can't wait to buy it Big grin

so, out of curiosity, why didn't she release this under her "Esther" name?

That good eh? Is it reminiscent of any of her past albums? I will have to get it.

I absolutely love it. A friend just told me that if I buy it today at a certain shop you get a free 1x2 metre poster of her so I couldn't resist Big grin

Regarding the music, it is completely different from anything she has ever done before. I don't quite know how to describe it. It is dance music. Something between electronic house, and very soft trance. Then add a pinch of grooveyness and that's how I'd describe it. LOL  Silly

If you like "Hung Up" which you probably already heard, and can tolerate a bit of commercial dance, you'll like it  Smile

Madonna used to be considered hot…Not by me, but by a lot of people. Now she just looks old and insists on making a spectacle of herself by changing her name and joining another Hollywood religious fad. The people who are actually believers in these religions must hate when celebrities “convert” and make their faith a punchline. Now, she is “writing” children’s books? Seriously, Esther, you were an oversexed pop harlot for 20 years, you can’t just change your name and start writing kids' books. Unacceptable.

She has children and obviously loves them! Why not write childrens books? Good luck to her! She has matured as a person I think.

I downloaded a copy a coupla nights ago (shhh!  Wink ), and, overall, I found it an OK album. I was expecting more "Hung UP"s (brilliant song made infiniti times better by the ABBA sample :P), but instead found a lot of similar-sounding, slower electropop songs. Not bad by any means, but nothing wow. Kylie could kick her ass anyday Big grin

If I had to choose my favorite songs, I'd go for "Hung Up" and "Get Together".

Ciao!

Your attention, please.

Sorry, that was my intention but I forgot. It's a mix CD and they wanna prevent piracy I guess so you can only play and pause but not scroll through. It's about 60-70 mins long so if you like her music sit back, post on a.net, and relax  Smile

Here it is (scroll down and then click on "listen to the full album")

Excuse me but at her age, anybody should be happy to look like that, without all the beauty operations and knives they subject themselves to look good. If I was a woman and looked like that at her age I would be a very VERY happy person! Way to go Madonna!

And BTW, her artist name was always Madonna. Why confuse your listeners and change names like P. Diddy and J. Lo and & Co. I think that's sad. Just choose something, and stick to it. And that's what she's done. Plus... Madonna sounds much better Big grin

I love them all except for "future lovers" and "I love New York" which are a bit iffy. I love the oriental sounding beats in "Isaac" are cool, and "Let it will be" is so uplifting  bigthumbsup

You are supposed to ignore him. He is trying to agitate certain people by making statements like that... just like back then in the DJ thread.

Of course it's not... otherwise it wouldn't sell so well, and otherwise it wouldn't be so popular, and otherwise Madonna's new album (and many other Dance music records) wouldn't be selling like hot cakes.

But that doesn't matter... He will try to convince us that classical music is the only "real", "proper" type that exists, and that if you don't know what a "Lydian Chord" is then you have no idea about making music  sarcastic

As I said... just ignore  Wink

This Madonna album is very very good. I have been listening to it straight through over and over again on my 1 hour commute, each way. Makes me want to be in a club each time.
