This is great news. It means that my favourite player from FC Basel, Scott Chipperfield (and maybe Mile Sterjovski) will go to the world championship.

Well done gentlemen!  Smile

Shame on Uruguay for losing South America's 5th country in the World Cup. I'm sure Colombia, Chile or Venezuela would've done better.

Neverthless thanks to Australia for changing to the Asian Football Federation, now it will be easier for the 5th S. American team to go to the world cup Big grin

Venezuela and Chile do better than Uruguay...in your dreams..perhaps Colombia...but if Uruguay came 5th of the south american zone is bacause they were better than the other 3 teams....

And one must not forget...... Uruguay didn't have 4 days between each game but practically 3 days because of time change. whilst the rich australians had a private planes with massagists, Uruguay had to change several time flight(hope they travelled in Biz class) and I'm sure they came out far more tired from the trip than aussie...however I think it was about time Aussie made it to a world cup

No offence. But what a lame excuse. Why didn't they win more than 1-0 at home then? They didn't have any problems with Jetlag and stuff when they had home advantage.  Smile

Do not fear, we in Argentina are fevereshly and tirelessly working to give our World Cup spot to Uruguay or Colombia, in a single sudden death match to be played in the last weekend of November. Stay tuned.

After the complete embarrassment against England, and the absolutely scandalous showing against Qatar (a Division D team from some little town in the pampas could have done probably better), I'm announcing I will not watch this world cup if Argentina plays in it. Pekerman can go to he!!.

Willkommen in Deutschland!

It's great to have you in Germany. I think Uruguay might have deserved it, as well, but there are already coming so many South American teams that I really think Australia deserves it more. But remember, you are welcome, but if we play against you, you are kindly requested to lose  Wink

See you in Germany!

Trinidad & Tobago just won their game with 1:0, so they will be in Germany as well next year. Now comes the "game of the evening", Turkey vs. Switzerland, I expect an agressive atmosphere in the stadium and on the field.
