I was there in 2000. First of all, drink lots of their beer as probably the best in the world and at reasonable prices. When sober or as you can't drink all the time, you should take one of the guided walking tours (for a modest fee and in whatever major language you understand best) is a great way to see the city and find out about it's history. Also visit the castle area across the river which included a historic cathredial, the home of the Czech government, a nice art museum and great views of the city. Prague survived WWII very intact so what you see is true to history. Yes, it has become very touristy, but it is still a very interesting city and I think you will enjoy it.

Correct, I have never been there myself but everyone who returned from Prague told me that the Czech beer is excellent and quite cheap.

One of my buddies bought a bottle of absinthe there (not available here in Germany and in most other European countries), so if you like the stuff you should buy it there because it is also dirt cheap.

Go to a lapdancing club. Most beautiful women i've ever seen and they will do anything - and i do mean ANYTHING - for £20.

The beer is free at the all inclusive ones - great beer and world class women. You know it makes sense. Big grin

Fantastic place!
Spent 8 days in Prague this summer!

In addition to all mentioned above the old part of the Prague is fantastic during the day and night. I was simply walking around. A lot of things to take picture of. In the evening Karlovy bridge full of playing and dancing artists. In the old town side. There is a tower on the bridge. You can go up and get a great view on the bridge.

If you go to the castle across the river you can also visit the observation tower.
Gives you very nice view on old town.

You are lucky! Enjoy!

UTA, I'll be in London from Dec 6-10 and in Prague from 11-16. Are we going to completely miss each other in Prague?

Any chance of touching base? Would love to meet up for a beer in either city!

Incidentally, we are there to visit and meet up with a friend who works b/w Irlenad and Czech Rep., for an outfit called Enterprise Ireland.

Everyone I know who has gone raves about the beer, the reasonable prices and the pristine pre-WWII architecture.

In case wedont meet, you are lucky in that you'll probably be there for the Christmas markets and the hot mulled wine

Trust me, you won't regret it.
It's a lapdancing club, probably one of the best I've been to.
Ask for Mandy, she is the blonde and one of the best strippers on the continent.

enjoy!

Visit the Jewish cemetery. It's somber but a very interesting place to see.

There's a wonderful little Czech (non touristy) restaurant off Wencelas Square. The food, atmosphere and PRICE were awesome. Very inexpensive way to get a great authentic meal in a non-tourist place.

It's called U Provaznice. (Everything in Prague is "U"...it means "street")

Rhaa ! Had I known earlier...and had my aunt had some...
Anyway, I shall (...) be in LA in January (but you may be from the East Coast lol) and EWR some time in spring, so something will (me) probably work out.

When hell freezes over...he wouldn't know what to do in a strip club anyways.
