Huge trance fan here. Armin van Buuren is no doubt the best in my book. His sets are just so full of energy that they are simply amazing. I also like Tiesto, will probably be going to see him in Detroit next week and again in Miami/Hollywood in January. Other great DJ's for me are:

Ferry Corsten
Paul van Dyk
Mauro Picotto
Markus Schulz
Above & Beyond
Marcel Woods
and Paul Oakenfold

Unfortunately, it seems the trance scene down here is becoming less important and house music seems to be taking its place. Trance will always be the best.

I'm a Trance DJ in London - i play mostly house but Trance is what I play when I get home. House is great to dance to but nothing moves you like Trance does. I've got a few mixes i'll be happy to send you.

Jurgen Vries, Ian Van Dahl, Scooter?

Oh mate i'm so sorry - thats not proper trance. Tiesto - now THATS proper trance.

Do you know Adagio for Strings? The Tiesto version?

Wanna see a video? Big grin

To be honest - Until i saw him tear the roof off Amnesia in Ibiza for Cream closing in September - i always thought Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk and Armin van Buuren were better. Tiesto absolutely rocked it - then Eddie Halliwell came on and played the best set ive ever seen in eleven years of clubbing. Brings the hairs up on the back of my neck even thinking about it.

Yea I love Trance music.

Just the usuals:
Tiesto
Paul Van Dyk
Ian Van Dahl

and then I have a song I found while searching:

DJ Baku - Baku Remix

It is a fantatic song. There's also DJ Jan - Azerbaijan which is top class.

If anyone wants to hear them, I'll host them for you.

Why does everyone put Ian van Dahl in there?

He is not a DJ - he is a (very cheesy and formulaic euro-pop) producer!

His only semi-decent trance tune was "Try" - and even then only the remixes!!

Although did you know he also does house?

Did you know that he is behind the absolutely storming - Dave McCrossen: 'Bitch' (you may know it better as "I just want to call you my bitch")?? Its a driving electro-house monster that i've been caning for months, that has blown up across Europe now and was undisputed TOP house tune of Ibiza 2005 - nasty, melodic hook and a seriously filthy baseline!!!

Fantastic! - he should stick to House if you ask me!

I LOVE TRANCE music, big time. Have my own decks in my room, got around 200 records and well over 500 cds! I love some of the older stuff that was doing the rounds.

I love this tune, but i still think that the previous version was better, very uplifting tune. Even still, Tiesto is still amazing! So is armin van buuren, his new one "shivers" is great, have a amazing remix on 1 of my cds. One of my all-time favourite cds is "Pure Eurphoria". Some of the stuff on there is great.

I have that Trance Republic cd, its good!

Gallactive and Somatic Sense are probably my fave trance labels.

Tsunami, ASOT (A State of Trance), Incentive and of course the mighty Vandit are all brilliant.

What new tunes are doing the do for you at the moment then mate, if you dont midn me asking?

For me, its Dogzilla - Without You (Simon Patterson is one of me best mates - so this one never gets boring - saw him walk down the aisle to it)

Jochen Miller - India
Sander van Doorn - Dark Roast
Sandler - The Chemistry EP
Adam White - Air For Life
Halcyon - Starfighter

and best of all...

Orkidea - Embrace. Absolute beast of a tune this one. Big grin

I enjoy the following (and I also DJ):

Paul Van Dyk
Oakenfold
Blank and Jones
Armin Van Buuren
4 Strings
Scooter
Gigi D'Agostino
DJ Velvet
DJ Encore
DJ Shog
Gabriel and Dresden
ATB
Peran Van Dijk
Mauro Picotto
Sasha + Digweed

I must say I dont find Ian Van Dahl, Tiesto and Ferry Corsten very appealing to my taste. Blank and Jones, PVD and ATB are my favorites.

Then there are days when I just pop in Kate Ryan, or N-Trance or something to that effect and I like it...hehe
