I plan on getting a new Hotmail email account, because my current one is to long and I don't like it any more, and I want to tie Airliners.net in to it a bit.

My current one is: anti_flag_dieforyourgovernment@hotmail.com

It is about three years old and it gives me hand ache writing it, and I am always misspelling it.

My question is:
I have several important emails in my current Hotmail inbox. Is it possible to transfer them over to the new account with out disturbing the email information, for example the 'To' 'From' etc.

Tom.

Hi Tom,

Without distubring the email information, simply install outlook (other e-mail programs might work too) and then add your new and your old email accounts. Then drag and drop the items you want from the old to the new email account...
Quite easy really... Good luck!

Erik

ps. May I recommend gmail as an alternative to hotmail? You can find an invitation in your inbox. You'll quickly discover the benefits... ds.

I thought hotmail didn't allow users to use Outlook anymore due to security risks?

Quoting Alcregular (Reply 3):

I use Outlook to check my hotmail every day, partly because I think it's easier to have all my emails on one page, but mostly because I am sick and tired of their ads and suggestions about going over to use hotmail plus...
But it is difficult to connect from time to time...
