Was it forgotton, overlooked, or a sign of cowardliness?
I hope the third. Big grin

P.S. I do hate to use a smiley, but maybe I can lighten your days up the smallest amount.

It probably would have been a harder target to hit because it's so slender relative to WTC.

It also doesn't hold any important documents or people and sadly (in their eyes) for them, wouldn't kill as many people as the World Trade Center. I live about 30 minutes away from the city. The day has been surreal. I want to wake up from this nightmare.

I would have thoguth that the symbol of american liberity and independence would have been high up in the list of targets.

the white hosue cpuldnt bit hit as its protected by missles on its roof, however apart from the pentagon and the wtc, the statue of liberity is high p there.

i really imagained the staute burning in the waters while new york is in rubble and the wreckage of the wtc on fire.

i am surprised the terrorists didnt go for it.

It is amazing what can be accomplised when nobody takes the credit

Yeah, as Americas symbol of freedom, I am suprised this has been left untouched, but I agree with Virgin Lover. There is no chance to kill 50,000 innocent people in the Statue Of Liberty.

Quite surprsied about the Statue standing. I hope and pray non of those murders get any ideas. I kept pinching myslef because I thought this had to be a nightmare. I still get the feeling when I look out of my window the WTC will still be there but it's not. Can't get over it that the building and a good amount of the people are gone. I just took black and white pics last week of the WTC from Hoboken.

Virgin340 "I still get the feeling when I look out of my window the WTC will still be there but it's not. "

Just before we annihalate those responsible for this distaster, they anounce that they we rebuild everything there, exactly as it was, thus restoring our skyline. The reasoning? The will die (hopefully excruciatingly), knowing that in the end, there wasn't a visual reminder that blackest of days.

The lady was made in France and brought here, why piss off people unnecessarily?

The meaning of life is curiosity; we were put on this planet to explore opportunities.

The statue of liberty has no economic, or human value.

The WTC towers were symbolic of a failed 93 terrorist attack. They went back to finish what they started.
