I never take headache tablets - I refuse on the grounds that I don't want my body to get used to them and make me immune to them! I hate pumping chemicals into my body (I save that for the alchohol! )
I find drinking a couple of pints of water works wonders, always clears it up.

What do I use for headaches? A ballpeen hammer works pretty well. Yowza!

Extra Strength Tylenol works for me. Has been my regular pain reliver for years now.
I find a few things really trigger headaches... most of the time they flare up at work (go figure... ) I find that I am light sensitive. The flourescent lights in my office are especially bad. Something about them being at the wrong wavelength or light color, plus there isn't enough good light to begin with. I also need to wear sunglasses even in dim light situations outside. The glare really gets to me. So my advice is try to figure out what some of the major triggers of your headaches are and find ways to reduce them or avoid them.

If I catch it early enough, Advil works. If not or if it is a migraine, it's up shit creek without a paddle. Lie down, close your eyes and put a warm washcloth over them, try to sleep it off.

Quoting Aerobalance (Reply 4): Excedrin is all that works for me - good luck.
I agree 100%. Aspirin, Tylenol, Advil and Alieve are worthless to me (on their own). But Excedrin does it almost every time.

If I can't get rid of it by drinking water (or other non-alcoholic drinks) I resort to Ibuprofen, more specifically "Dolormin" as the brand I use is called. I haven't used any in moths, but it never lets me down.

So you have never had a tooth ache; ear ache; or broken anything; or you must have a high tolerance to pain.
Me; I take a brand called Aspro; from google.com " Aspro was invented by the chemist George Nicholas as a form of Asprin in a tablet. The product was developed in Melbourne ... "
Don't use it very often; but when I need it; its a life saver.

I use Bayer Aspirin C (with vitamine C). I don't know the word you use it, but the tablet should be put in a glass of water (just like the Calcium tablets). It helps me a lot, because other stuff can wake up my stomach ulcer.

Quoting Garri767 (Thread starter): just wondering since none of mine really seem to work... as you can guess im having a tough (really tough) migrane era...
Quiet and dark room, drink lots of water, & take Aleve. Sometimes a ice cold cloth over my eyes helps.

This is what I do: (I get migraines/ bad headaches that cover my eye area and forehead).
-3 Advil/ 3 Tyenol/ (?)Excedrin (Whatever seems to HELP the most, but I usually go with Advil for headaches)
-DARK DARK room
-Pressure on the eyes (whatever helps, not TOO much pressure, but a good amount).
-Also, try putting FIRM pulsing pressure on the pressure point between your thumb and forefinger...the fleshy area between them.

Depends on its cause.
A Collegue had a headache when he did not rest well.
A good rest works well.Try avoiding medications as far as possible.
