Thanks to all of you who have made this website one of my most enjoyable forms of entertainment over the past couple of years.
I worked in the airline industry for most of my career (ages 19 to 48). I started in London in 1969 with APSA Peruvian Airlines as an Office Messenger. Later, in 1970 with Finnair in Jyvaskyla, Central Finland as a Cargo Officer. I then transferred to AMS at SPL as Traffic Officer until 1975, when I returned to my home of Vancouver. I then worked for Western Airlines/Delta Air Lines from 1975 until 1998, when Delta pulled out of Vancouver. At that time I chose to end my airline career, without regret, as I personally feel grateful that I worked in the industry during the best and most exciting times in my lifespan.
I shall continue to enjoy and promote this website, and hope that all will find my future contributions in these forums to be of interest and enjoyment. I love to reminisce especially about equipment types and configurations we flew at the time I worked for AY. These were the most memorable years of my entire life, and I will be eternally grateful to AY and all their emloyees including ground staff, flight crews and management for making this so.
