Hi all,

Any help received is greatly appreciated.

I am having a great deal of problems with our wireless network here with Windows XP SP2 French.

We have a network that is hidden and authenticated by PEAP. This is all good and well, and works sometimes, however I have a user who is having a great deal of problems, as Windows connection manager on his laptop will NOT let him change the username that connects him.

It will allow him to change the password, but both the username and domain fields are grayed out / disabled.

The domain is fine, but we need to change the username he connects with.

I am stumped with this, I have never seen this with ANY other version of XP, the English, Italian, Polish and German versions of XP have never shown me this before.

I don't speak French or understand any of the language, so I am struggling a fair bit.

XP simply just pops up a box saying it cannot connect as the username and password are not valid on this domain. I know there not, this is why they need changing, but it won't let me change the bloody username.

So does anyone have any ideas how to change the username? Or is there away to simply make it forget these three settings so we can reenter them.

Its very frustrating!

Once again, thanks for any help!

Adam

One very quick thing that springs to mind ........

Is the user logged on as Administrator? Or is he/she using a limited privelage account?

Statistically, people who have had the most birthdays tend to live the longest.

Yes, they are logged on as an Administrator.

I can mess with all the settings bar these ones. Its as its remembering the details, which it should - I just can't seem to find a way to change them or clear them.

The French version of Windows seems different to other versions I have seen. Its highly frustrating!
