Even though it's too early to tell, once the site is clear or wreckage, will NYC think about rebuilding WTC after time passes by? I'd like to see it get rebuilt bigger and better than ever.

To me, the Twin Towers always come to mind (aside from the statue of liberty) when I think of New York City. It is hard to picture them gone, it feels odd.

What are your opinions about this?

I have heard people talking about it, and experts speculating in the news. Its obviously a possibility that the US will look at, after all, they now need a World Trade Center.

It's lower Manhattan! They're going to have to put buildings up... they still need the office space (now more than ever). It'll go back up

There was an article about this in the Wall Street Journal today (13 Sept). It said that physically, there's no reason why the sight can't be rebuilt on, and that developers will be salivating to develop the site. It said that financing and other emotional issues will be the bigger hurdles.

I sure hope they re-build it to show that they were not successful. This process will take many years though.

I hope that they will put up a memorial there, like they did at Oaklahoma City..

I think they should rebuild, like many have said, bigger and better. memorial like in Ok City would be nice, but to me, a living, working memorial, like the WTC rebuilt is much better for the rememberance of everyone who lost and gave there lives for this.

I hope they build a bigger and better WTC on the same site. Good luck America!

Build a bigger and better one, reclaiming the highest-building status. Show the terrorists that if you strike at America, you just come back greater!

^^ I think that is a great idea! Definately it should go back up, just to prove they did not win. I also think as Airlinerlover said, a memorial should be put up somewhere near, maybe even in the towers.
