Was just wondering since it was brought to my attention today.

Did he delete himself?

Did he get banned (I wouldn't think so)

Did his subscription expire?

Where is he?  hissyfit

Apparently he deleted himself.
From another thread:

"Thanks for helping prove a heated discussion of diametrically opposed viewpoints can be had without name-calling the "opponent". Thank you and good bye."

At least he left with style so to speak. "Thank you and good bye" and nothing else. Still sad.

Hi FlyAUA!

I'm not completely sure, but after reading his last post in this recent thread

Just How Desperate Are The Terrorists Getting? (by Gilligan Nov 30 2005 in Non Aviation)

to me it seems as if he indeed could have deleted himself, which would really be sad!

Maybe someone else holds contact to him and knows more?

Best Regards,
Fabian/PositiveClimb

Edit: NoUFO, you beat me to it

Aloges, if you read this, please consider coming back. You provide valuable contributions to the site and it would be a shame if we were deprived of that.

I agree. I do not write much here (because the tone is very aggressive) but read a lot, and realized that he, as opposed to his opponents, has made a lot of good arguments and always backs them with evidence. Another person who has tacitly vanished is mrniji (who is a personal friend of mine), although he has not deleted himself. In my eyes another big loss to the forum. He feels equally disgusted as Aloges about the way things happen here.

Great...

So because some childish person on here cannot have a normal conversation, somebody who used to contribute and share a lot of things has left us... this is really a shame. Achim if you're reading this, then I just want to let you know that this truly is a loss... but I understand your decision  Sad

His post didn't seem that angry. Nor did the posts leading up to it. I think he left for reasons unrelated to his dicussions on A.net.

Too bad, though. He was a quality member and his stuff was enjoyable to read.

Maybe he's out getting some dueling scars, or whatever it is they do at Heidelberg University.

I think he was getting very frustrated at the lack of humanity he was being subjected to. Not towards himself, but the cruelty directed towards others.

If anyone here has Achim's email, please give him the message that he is going to be missed.

Yes, unfortunately he left for private reasons.

The Non Aviation Forum lost a great contributor, I hope as well that he will come back some day.

How can it expire? I thought we pay 25 $ and our membership is infinite or until A.net closes its doors?
