Over Thanksgiving, one of my houseguests found an old bottle of peach schnapps in the back of my bar cabinet and began pouring Fuzzy Navels (peach schnapps and orange juice). We also moved on to peach schnapps with cranberry juice, which was also quite good, and had to go out to get another bottle. All of us mentioned how it'd been years since we'd had schnapps of any kind.

Has anyone else had a drink you've not had in a while and recently rediscovered?

White Russians.

I remember having them quite a few times in high school...but until my recent business trip to Seattle, and my travel partner's love of having them...I have since become re-attatched to them. Great stuff!! It's like chocolate milk...which a kick!

Yes, lasst week I found "Goldschlaeger" in the store when I was doing my shopping. This is something I haven't had since my teenage years even though I loved it so much Big grin

And also last night I was improvising and created a drink that tasted really good. There is the new Passoa available in stores since a few weeks. There are 3 flavours (Spicy Mango, Melon Cactus, Tropical Ananas - or something like that anyways). I tried adding 7.5cl of Passoa Spicy Mango to 15cl of Cock Light, and it tasted really good  yummy

Not drinking, also isn't a solution!

both Black and White Russians. I'm an equal opportunity drinker.

If it pisses off the right, I'm all for it.

Here's my Cape Cod:

Vodka
Cranberry Juice
1/4 teaspoon Cassis

Stir over ice with a small wedge or orange or lime.

After blinking on this one for a while too, I think he meant "Coke Light", the continental version of Diet Coke.

At first, I thought he was referring to some sort of lewd swizzle stick!

Funny you should ask. Lately I've had a craving for a cocktail I drank some years ago, but I can't remember the name of it. It was ginger ale and something--perhaps whiskey or bourbon? Does anyone know what it is?

Some years ago I liked Manhattans, but for some reason haven't had one in ages. Guess it's time to try again.

Could you be a bit less specific?  Wink

Perhaps a Jack and Ginger is what you meant?

Jeepers, an amazing amount of ginger ale cocktails at iDrink! Some of the names even match up quite well with a number of a.net members ...

"The Dude" would agree with you here, man....along with the rug, it helps hold the room together!

I couldn't let the comment about white russians go by without a reference to that movie... Wink

As for me, I like to take a shot of cinnamon schnapps, followed by a shot of peppermint schnapps..."fire and ice" !! Good stuff.
