Dearie, no one shows up at a bar at 3 in the afternoon. That's just gauche.

I've spent hundreds, if not thousands of Friday and Saturday (not to mention Sunday - Thursday) nights out, spending huge sums of money on over-priced drinks and food that I could cook better myself. Nights out are now a treat - amateurs need to feel important by going out. Professionals drink alone.

Eventually the night life gets old. But yeah......you are right. Instead I somehow look forward to talking with you f*ckers night after night.

Not only that, but we get lots of productive things done in the process. I'm almost finished putting together a class syllabus and tweaking a paper for presentation at a conference next April. Also snuck in a kernel rebuild on the other computer (it's a *NIX thang). And I'm just getting started... there's plenty of wine left.

April? My god, I don't even know what I'm doing next week! (Okay, maybe some Christmas shopping or something like that.)
Tonight it's cleaning some files off my hard drive while I watch a movie and fight for space on the bed with my pussy.

Friday's in St. Louis just aren't that busy. Even Monday nights are more happening than Friday's a lot of the times. I typically work Friday nights just to fill the evening. After work, it's typically a good hour or two spent with snacks and drinks and then it's home to relax to be able to get up early on Saturday.
Eternal darkness we all should dread. It's hard to party when you're dead.
