This one always picks me up.

F**k the Universe, by Ryan Adams.

It's great for those days when things just don't go your way!

Slowly
Coming over me
Like fire and ice
Confusion
All to the ground
Stone me
Like you own me
The strangest moving patterns
All flow through this city
Strummin'
As she's cumin'
She starts a revolution
But never shows up
So holy
Give me coma
Alkaline
And mainframes
Into a kiss
Cities destroyed
And so pretty
The patterns of illusion
Burn through the ground
And I'm a faker
Faker
I'm a faker
I'm a faker
I'm a faker
Vampire
Coffins to kiss
I'm a faker
I'm a faker
Morning may crawl
F**k you
And f**k the universe
Ah, etc.
F**k the universe
F**k the universe
F**k the universe

Depends on the type of bad day. If I'm just generally down and melancholy, I'll play "Forever Young" by Alphaville. If I'm just in a bad mood, any of the old dance hits from the 80s/early 90s will get me going again.

I find that Simon & Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' can help! Other than that, anything happy that brings back good memories.

Agreed!

When you're feeling blue for no reason...
"Sad Songs" - Elton John, but you need to sing along.
"Why Georgia" - John Mayer
"Wheat Kings" - Tragically Hip

Then there are the break-up songs .... and the list could go on.

G

Eternal darkness we all should dread. It's hard to party when you're dead.
