Why Did The Post Criticizing Me Stay There?

In the rules about posting things on Airliners.net, it says that posts criticizing a person will be deleated and the person who posted it will risk being banned. But I posted stuff, and got criticzized about my username and the posts are still there. If I tell the admin that I don't like what the person posted, he never delete's it. Why would the post criticzing me never get deleted?

That's a VERY good question.

There tends to be alot of unprovoked criticism directed even towards me from certain venomous creatures here, yet only one or two were deleted.

But really, for me, that's 100% fine. I say keep 'em all. I personally think that NO post should be deleted as it only serves to hide these people's malevolent nature. I think insanely critical posts should remain for all the world to see. Usually, the responsible parties eventually become embarrassed by their own lunacy.

I could be wrong, but it's just my opinion.

I don't think we can expect the Admin. to be here 24hrs/day. As to deleting posts, well it happens in many other forums, I guess it's just general nettiquette.

But I agree, there are some idiots around, but there always are.

No forum should be censored from anything,
we should be able to say whatever i want
critizise whoever we want, and so on and so forth.

I didn't know you were a child molester? How could you be sick like that.

Now do you still believe one should be able to say what they want?

Nice point from the poster with the most-er. Criticism is not the problem, so long as it is intelligent, well written and factual.

Personal flaming attacks are the problem. Some people may not be concerned with them, but some of the younger more impressionable members may be completey put off airliners.net or incredibly offended.

Heya MB

We are never going to get rid of personal flaming from this forum. As long as there are two people with different opinions, it is human nature to take the piss out of one another sooner or later (isn't it???). In fact, I think a bit of piss-taking is good to get other people used to it (I am such a bitch aren't I?)

Cheers

Scotty

P.S. Hey babe, unfortunately I didn't get the chance when I was in SYD recently to show you just how much I respect ya 8-), but look at your profile anyway

True, true and truer. However, calling someone a dickhead or something similar is a little different to some of the vile things that uninformed twerps have posted to me. Not that I care. (tears forming in my eyes already... boo hoo..)

Mind you I have retaliated with enough intelligence and spunk to soundly run down said opponents. Guilty as charged.

Oh thankyou for respecting me. I shall burst into song now... "You light up my life.... la la la."

mb (*happy*)

Yeah I do agree that coming out and saying to someone "You're a dickhead" is not all that intelligent, people have to realise that there is a real art to piss-taking (something which I think we Aussies have down to an art), in which the two ingredients you mentioned, intelligence and spunk, have to be used in their right proportions.

Anyway no worries on respecting ya. I can hear you singing from here *now where the f@!# did I put my gun?* (sorry, but I needed to be blunt just to be sure you understand).

But if Johan doesn't have enough time to delete all the posts critizing a person, why does it say that posts critizing poeple will be deleted?
