I want Andy to win, but I know that Shayne will do it...he's young and good looking and all the girlies will love him! Can't deny that he's got a good voice with a great vocal range though.
I'd love to see the working class Londoner win though...I can relate!
Gotta go, it's back on...!

Quoting Daleaholic (Reply 7): I wanted Andy to win, he's so much better!
I think Andy appeals to a different audience - personally, being a soul fan, I loved his voice. I'm sure this won't be the last we see of him though - just look at the whole Will Young and...the other bloke (what WAS his name?!) thing.

That's the one! Anyway, they both had hits even though Will Young was actually the winner of X Factor in 2002. OK, so Gareth Gates hasn't been heard of much lately, but he gave it a good go!

Andy shoulda won that hands down. But you can't argue with a majority teenage-girl audience!
Ah well, this certainly isn't the end of Andy, I'm sure the music companys will be jumping at the chance of signing him.

Brenda should have won, she was amazing! I do hope we see more of her, she had an amazing voice and looked great. Bit predictable that Shayne won but good on him

First time I've watched it.
Shayne was great. And straight from the show, he's on stage at G.A.Y tonight as well. Bet that cost a few quid to arrange as it was a live event!
I missed Sharon laying into Steve Brookstein last year, but read the full version of what really happened in her book. What a turd he turned out to be!

No surprises there then, but I think ultimately, tonight, Shayne did deserve to win. My friends and I couldn't help but notice that he was the person in the family to get all the good looks - can't say I liked the look of that dodgy tattoo on his chest though!
In regards to the whole competition, I wish Brenda had made it to the final, as she was a true diva, but a nice one. Word is she is going to be playing Mama Morton in Chigago on the West End. I also hear Maria is going to be releasing her version of "You're Beautiful", but we shall see...

I wouldn't deprive Shayne of his win, he deserves it, although Andy and Brenda got my votes. Journey South are canny lads, but Brenda should've had their place in the final.
My advice to Shayne:
1. Lose those stupid earings (it even looked as though Andy was pulling them out last night);
2. Grow your hair back;
3. Lose that dopey Manchester accent (that's a bit fresh coming from me with my dopey Geordie one).
Oh yes, and keep that dodgy tattoo covered up too!
Seriously though, well done Shayne.
My daughters love you!

Brenda was fantastic. I would buy her album in a flash. However I didn't like those false eyelashes on her last appearance - with that chubby face she looked like Miss Piggy from the Muppets.
