Couple bottles of Absolut, Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, and I even got a bottle of Southern Comfort the other day for the relatives to drink.

Looks to be a fun Holiday season for sure.  Wink

Yea I think so. On the wine front we have 12 red and 9 white, I believe the white is Banrock Station and the red possibly Wyndham Estate.

On the lager front we have 24 Stella and now 20 Kronenbourg now. We also have some other sorts of lager for whiners who don't like the above. They are German I think?

We also have 12 bottles of alcopops of a famous Russian brand for those who appreciate teeth rotting sugar drinks.

Then we have Guinness too, a minimal amount of bitter, and then spirits

That I can recall these are:

Absolut Vodka
Chopin Vodka
Glenmorangie
Laphroaig
Grappa (Croation for turpentine)
Bailey's

There's more but I'm not an alcoholic so I don't really know what we have.

Also you have to take into account family visits when of course you get to sup other people's booze for free!

Today I bought drinks for tommorrow evening and it was a logistical masterpiece, we are 24 or 25 persons and I bought the following:

  • One case of Erdinger Weissbier (20 x 0.5 liter bottles)

  • One case of Fiege Pils (20 x 0.5 liter bottles)

  • One case of Frankenheim Alt (20 x 0.5 liter bottles)

  • Six bottles of red wine

  • Twelve bottles of white wine

  • One bottle Bailey's

  • One bottle Schladerer cherry booze

  • One bottle Liquor 43

  • Three bottles Prosecco

  • One mixed case (12 x 0.5 liter bottles) with soft-drinks (Coke, Coke Light, Sprite, etc.)

  • I hope that's enough.  Wink

One case of Erdinger Weissbier (20 x 0.5 liter bottles)

checkmark  Always a good choice. My #1 of course would be Franziskaner, but I've had Erdinger when I was in Hunfeld (north of Fulda) and then I can also get it on draught locally in Seattle at my German beer pub.

    Quoting Sabena332 (Reply 10):
    One bottle Bailey's

     checkmark  Right on...good stuff.

As for me, I supported the Washington state liquor monopoly by picking up:

-1/5 of Rumpleminz peppermint Schnapps $19.95
    -1 bottle of Bailey's. $9.95

I also bought a case of Miller High Life about a week ago, although that's now almost gone. I will have to stop by the store and pick up some microbrew...  Wink

    WHAT?!?!  Wow!

    Dude I am shocked!
That doesn't sound like your style.
Pilot kaz has better taste in booze than yours!
    Are you talking Stella Artois?
The over-priced watered down chick beer with no kick?
I keep a case of that for a lady friend of mine who loves that crap.

    As far as holiday booze, I have;
    Brandy & egg nog
    Bailey's Irish Cream
    Knob Creek
    Johnny Walker Balck Label
    Widmers Snow Plow Milk Stout
Anchor Steam Merry Christmas/Happy New Years Seasonal Beer
    Sierra Nevada Celebration seasonal beer

oh and I can't forget a about the huge jug of Carlos Rossi Burgandy and Paisano.
I know it's odd living so close to Napa Valley yet buying cheap wine. Big grin

Got a bottle or two of wine and a Baileys.

I don't drink any more but I don't object to it or anything like that, so I will have a glass or two at Christmas. There are some spirits that are there for visitors such as Courvoisier brandy and Famous Grouse whisky, as the neighbours and a few friends always get asked to pop in for a drink at some stage.

And a bottle of sherry as it's apparently 'trendy' again!

That must be the case due to different regulations in water purity. I've been told than even our crappy mass produced Budweiser taste beer in Europe than here in the USA.

    Stella Artois is friggin disgusting...

In Great Britain, the term is used as slang for the Belgian beer Stella Artois. A possible origin is the famous scene in the movie A Streetcar Named Desire, where Marlon Brando's character yells "Stella!", the name of his wife, as he begs her to return after violently beating her. In British culture, Stella Artois is associated with a drinking culture in which domestic abuse may follow a bout of drinking at the local pub.
