Quoting Sabena332 (Reply 10): One case of Erdinger Weissbier (20 x 0.5 liter bottles)
Always a good choice. My #1 of course would be Franziskaner, but I've had Erdinger when I was in Hunfeld (north of Fulda) and then I can also get it on draught locally in Seattle at my German beer pub.

Quoting 9VSPO (Thread starter): I'm off to the local supermarket tonight to pur-chase my favourite tipple (couple of crates of Stella )
Dude I am shocked!
That doesn't sound like your style.
Pilot kaz has better taste in booze than yours!
Are you talking Stella Artois?
The over-priced watered down chick beer with no kick?
I keep a case of that for a lady friend of mine who loves that crap.
As far as holiday booze, I have;
Brandy & egg nog
Bailey's Irish Cream
Johnny Walker Balck Label
Widmers Snow Plow Milk Stout
Anchor Steam Merry Christmas/Happy New Years Seasonal Beer
Sierra Nevada Celebration seasonal beer
oh and I can't forget a about the huge jug of Carlos Rossi Burgandy and Paisano.
I know it's odd living so close to Napa Valley yet buying cheap wine.

Got a bottle or two of wine and a Baileys.
I don't drink any more but I don't object to it or anything like that, so I will have a glass or two at Christmas. There are some spirits that are there for visitors such as Courvoisier brandy and Famous Grouse whisky, as the neighbours and a few friends always get asked to pop in for a drink at some stage.
And a bottle of sherry as it's apparently 'trendy' again!

Stella Artois is friggin disgusting...
In Great Britain, the term is used as slang for the Belgian beer Stella Artois. A possible origin is the famous scene in the movie A Streetcar Named Desire, where Marlon Brando's character yells "Stella!", the name of his wife, as he begs her to return after violently beating her. In British culture, Stella Artois is associated with a drinking culture in which domestic abuse may follow a bout of drinking at the local pub. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wifebeater_%28slang%29

: I have been to the local supermarket to make sure I have enough tea bags. That will do me for this year
: I'm spending Xmas day and night at Tiger Tiger nightclub in Central London so whatever they've got to drink, I've got to drink.
