Quoting MattRB (Thread starter): I'll be RDU Jan 6-8 and was wondering if any of the local spotters would be interested in getting together for an afternoon of spotting on the 7th (maybe a dinner outing afterwards?).
Let me know if you'd be interested and we'll work on getting something set up.
If I don't have anything going on, I'll show my face.

Sounds good. What say anyone who's interested meet over at the Crosswinds Cafe at the GA Terminal around 1PM on the 7th (unless there's a preferred meeting spot with better spotting around - let me know, please).
Aviation is proof that given, the will, we have the capacity to achieve the impossible.

Brier Creek Carolina Ale House
Alexander Place, 7981 Skyland Ridge, Raleigh, NC 27617, (919)957-4200
Just use Skyland Ridge Pky , Raleigh, NC, 27617 when using google.
Zoom out a bit to see the airport, only about 1 mile away.
The trick from Crosswinds is to go northeast along the runway, and follow it around the runway. At the light make a right(Lumley). Go through the next light, go Under 70, and then make a left onto 70 going northwest, towards Durham(Stay to the left as this is also the onramp to 540). The next light is for Brier Creek and Alexander place. (on the map link it is where the 70 sign is above the cemetary). You can make the right here, and on your right will be Walmart shopping center, on the left is the ale house.
Older than I just was ,and younger than I will soo be.
