Ever since the "Views" feature was added in this forum, I have noticed that there are always MANY MANY MANY views, but so few replies compared to the views. For example, a post with lets say 100 or so views usually would have 5 or so replies only!

I wonder........are most of the people who view a post without replying members? Or are most of them people who are not registered?

My guess is its mostly from people who are not registered and just read posts.

Just a thought.....

sometimes it's because we have not formed a positive opinion on the topic being discussed, so we simply read for good information.

I read many many more posts than I actually reply too, especially in the civil aviation and teck ops boards. If I don't have any relevant info to give, I don't reply. But there are many topics posted that I read and learn from.

Some people might reply if their point of view wasn't already mentioned by someone, as some don't like a bunch of repetitious posts, or posts that just say "I agree with so and so.." Granted, I do it sometimes, but some don't..

Sometimes people write bad subjects to their posts

You will see something like:

and you'll click on it and it'll say:

"Are Australians Cool?"

Now it's 40x as many replies
