UCLA is the better team, no shit.

The Pac-10 really must be better than the SEC now!! Enough of this east coast bias crap, get a life.

Not to mention this was pac 10 #3 vs. big ten #5. If it was the 'even' matchup, it would have been UCLA vs. Wisconsin- and I think we all know what would happen AGAIN in that matchup.

2000 Sun Bowl

Further proof that you don't know what you're talking about.

I find it somewhat ironic that someone saying the Pac 10 is as good of a football conference as there is, would start a thread calling thier #2 team a joke. Very interesting.

When did I say UCLA beat Wisconsin in the past? Putting words in my mouth? No thanks.

UCLA is a superior team this year. As is the Pac 10, a superior conference. They will win the Bowl Challenge Cup, as they are favored to do. They were favored in ALL of they're games. The lone f**k up being Oregon. They will win the Rose Bowl. Texas can't stop Bush. Leinart, White, and crew. Vince Young IS Texas. That's all they have. A mobile QB. And before you put more words in my mouth, I am not saying he isn't a goo athlete.

Wisconsin was fun for a while this year. They good good press, because Alvarez is calling it quits after a great career with the Badgers. But, they are a middle of the road team. Show me where the Pac 10 is not good this year. Show it to me.

It was jam packed with mediocrity. UCLA having to pull about 3 games out of their ass being down 3 touchdowns to stay undefeated before at ARIZONA of all places and getting their ass whopped expectedly at USC. Cal was totally disappointing, and i'm not sure I could count how many good opportunities lost by ASU on one hand. And with Oregons awful Holiday showing, there is only 1 team from the Pac-10 that is a major player on the national scene. You guessed it, USC.

Cal WAS disapointing. Then they won they're bowl game. Oh wait!! They went to a bowl game!!

Arizona State choked a few times, yes. Oh wait!! THEY went to a bowl game too!!! AND WON!!! *gasp*

Oregon's "aweful" showing? They had a dull 3rd quarter. They damn near pulled it out. OU is a MUCH improved team the secon half of the year. They had to play 12 true freshman, and damn near lost the game. Oregon didn't have an aweful Holiday Bowl. Cal had an aweful Holiday Bowl. Nice try.

Only one team that is a national player? LOL!!!!

Oregon isn't a national player, nope. Can't be at 10-2 now.
UCLA can't be. 10-2 is a shitty record.
USC is un-defeated.
How many two loss teams does the SEC have this year again? Oh, that's right...two.

Let's run down the SEC, shal we?

http://secsports.com/index.php?s=&change_well_id=9997&url_channel_id=2

Sorry, not exactly a great conference if you want to compare it to the Pac 10. You put any of the top five teams in the Pac in the SEC, and they compete every year for the BCS automatic. Period.

Do you not follow college football at all? Ever? In your life? UCLA is a proud program that is finally emerging from a few down years.

As for Oregon, as much as it pains me to admit it, Oregon has been one of the best football programs in the country over the last 10 years. They've played in the Rose Bowl, they've played Michigan, and beaten them. They've gone to, and will host Oklahoma next season. Don't even go there with those two not being national players. Ok, first, I never said OSU was a great team last year. Your twisting my words...That shit pisses me off.

Second: ALL great teams find themselves in tough situations. USC's lone loss two years ago was in TRIPPLE OVERTIME to Cal...a team that was having a pretty good year. They finished with an imprssive win in the Insight Bowl against a quality oponent in Virginia Tech.

USC was a few plays away from losing to a good Notre Dame team this year. Does that diminish how good they have been the last 3 seasons? NO. It doesn't.

Even the great Bulls teams of the 90's lost games, and were in tough situations against both good, and bad teams. That doesn't mean they sucked. Obviously they're success shows that they did not. This is another ignorant statement by someone who wishes he knew what he was talking about.

Pass whatever you are smoking along.

OSU brought over 50,000 to the Fiesta Bowl in 2001.
Oregon did the same in 2002.
Oregon did the same for the Holiday Bowl.

As a matter of fact, I know people that HAVE ASKED THE SEC about that one. I know people that went to the LSU game last year, and were complimented on how WELL OREGON STATE TRAVELED TO THE GAME. They were told they're own CONFERENCE OPONENTS dont travel that way to regular season games.

Ok, fine. You wanna talk about regular season, let's do it.

Until this season, Oregon State had sold out 30+ consecutive home football games. Capacity was only 35,500. I know, not impressive, except the streak was. Capacity is now 45,000.

Oregon: 55,000+ stand room. Sells out ever week

Washington. 70,000+ capacity. Havn't done it the last two years consistantly, but they sold out every week.

USC: they sell out all the time, just cuz they're SC.

UCLA: They're back to selling out 50,000+

Arizona State: 70,000+ Sol out all the time the last three years.

Cal: 60,000+ capacity. Sells out all the time

Sanford: Renovating from 80,000+, down to around 50,000+

I know it isn't Ohio State or Michigan, but people show up to support they're teams. If you think the Big House is loud, go to Autzen Stadium in Eugene.

Do you know that they play in the rose bowl? It seats 100,000. It is only on rare occasions that it is anywhere close to a sellout for a UCLA game.

I guarantee you the Pac-10 finishes a resounding last in overall attendance to the other major conferences. You won't win any argument based on that.
