Hi All,
What is your favourite Music Channel?
Is it MTV? VH1? TMF? The Box? MTV2? Kiss? Magic?
Whatever! Let's just see what your favourites are. And say why!
For me it has to be:
VH1 as I like the format and the music selection, themed days and the graphics are cool.
Smash Hits because it seems to play a fair amount of music between the breaks and the have a nice mix of general music and themed music transmissions.
The Box. Despite the quite weird graphics IMO, this channel plays a nice mix of different records, and doesn't have loads of programing on like 'the fabulous life of...'

I wish I got Kerrang! But right now the only worthwhile music station for me is Fuse, they actucally play music! A novel concept that other "music stations" should look into. *cough*MTV*hack*MTV2*Cough*

I wasn't aware VH1 and MTV were still music channels. I watch VH1 because some of their shows are pretty funny, but MTV is just trash.

i dont have one, i just flick between them all until i find a song I like. I dont see the point of listening to one station all the time, taking in ads, crap songs etc.
Also, I cant remember when I last saw music on MTV!

Fuse and the International Music Feed (IMF) are about it for the IHAP clan, two of the very few ways to see new music....
Heck I remember when MTV did not have enough videos to play and they would have the astronaut holding the flag playing for 10 minutes+ (Of course that was when MTV played videos....

Hi All,
Thanks for sharing your opinions

I also have a flick around, but there are some Music Channels which I watch the most.
Wake up at 0500 in the morning and then you may see some music videos on MTV

Well, maybe not in the U.S.A, and in MTV's case not in the U.K either are these Channels showing music videos that often.
VH1 though, in the U.K., shows a good amount of music videos. Just had a look at tomorrow, and it is 'Every Number One 1 1985-2005' and in the evening there is an ABBA movie, ABBA concert and Greatest Hits: ABBA.
This morning though from 0200 - 0600 it's 'List Snowdon's All Access' BUT there is a reason for this kind of programming on VH1 in the U.K. etc...
The likes of Sky One, BBC1, Nickleodeon, MTV, The Hits, TMF, VH1, VH1 Classic and MTV Base are what is called 'level one' Channels (the highest level) as far as television access services go in the U.K.
This means they are required to transmit a certain amount of signed/subtitled program's. This results in program's like "the rise and rise of" and "cribs" being shown on level one channels, like VH1 and, from 2006, MTV Dance.

Music channels are crap nowadays! I still remember the good old "MTV in Germany" years -> Beavis and Butthead, followed by Ray Cokes live from London (all in the English original language), etc. Today has MTV a special German program which sucks utterly, except "Pimp My Ride".
The German music channel VIVA is crap except you are younger than 18!
Fellow Germans: What happenend to another German music channel (I forgot the name of it) which used to be on air some years ago and used to play "Ocean Drive" by the "Lighthouse Family" 57 times every night?

I don't like any American music channels, MTV especially, they are all too corporate and commercialized. Nothing original at all. I like internet radio better where people actually have the freedom to play whatever they want and not what the big bosses tell them to play.
Is it weird I have a RemoveBeforeFlight pitot cover on my car rear view mirror?
