How come whenever I post a message that is just as "adult-sounding" and intellectual as any 30 year old I get a message from someone saying "well from the looks of your profile you are still young...blah blah". That just makes me mad. Can't we just disregard age alltogether? (unless there is an ridiculously childish thread [which i don't consider myself to post]). I dont know, just a thought. It's aggrevating when you feel people can't take you seriously just because you are younger than they are.

Regards,
American_4275

If it's any consolation, everyone who's older than you took the exact same s**t  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Don't worry, with every day that passes you'll slowly get your revenge. But careful what you wish for.

Some people tend to think that the relatively miniscule age diffrece of 10 or so years makes them somehow supperior. This is a somewhat narrow minded outlook in my opinion, however, when you consider the age of everything around us....including the universe which is around 10 billion years old. This analogy probably sounds too "far out" to some so im not gonna try to explain it...either you get it or you don't.

I would like to point out though, that the civ av forum could do without the "Whats you favorite airliner" posts that routinely posted exclusivly by the 5-15 age group.

American_4275, I'm 19 and pick on the 30 yr olds around here all the time. Smile/happy/getting dizzy There are a few of them around (no names, im in a good mood) that should have their profile read "I'm 30 with 3 kids less than two years of age & I am dumber than everyone one of them". However their are a lot of peeps that are about 12-16 that are VERY annoying to read and i just don't bother a lot of times. I think some are a lot more intelligent than others and some even more than the adults, but a few bad apples easily ruin it for the rest of the teens. But I do believe most people that are older than you should be respected as the rule goes they are supposed to be smarter than us. What pisses me off is a 13 yr old that thinks he can say he is 40 yr old Captain of a 747 for UA and then not know what a altimeter is & then expect us to believe him. I have gotten into a few fights over that as a few people may recall. Anyone know if Hardlanding is still around??? I think i got him really good, I should put his head on my wall. Smile/happy/getting dizzy

American_4275- I can understand when you say that you get PO'd when your ideas and opinions are dismissed just because of your age. Unfortunately there are some in these discussions that are in your age group that have a rare talent of making a***s out of themselves everytime they reply to something. Then some of us that are, shall we say older, group all of "you" in a lump and dismiss you without a thought. And you're right that isn't fair. If I have been one of those, I hope I haven't, then I am sorry and I shall try to be more open minded in the future.

I Like To Fly-I don't know if you saw my reply on the "Hardlanding" discussion but quickly, you really had that guy pegged and I didn't. Good job!

When you get a little older, you can complain about being treated like a kid. Right now, you just prove you really are a whiny snot nosed brat. Shut up, kid.

LoL, thanks Skyhawk. That night threads were getting deleted fast so I never did see your reply, but it's good at least a few people saw me corner him. Smile/happy/getting dizzy Also, very nice reply to American_4275 and it is very true.

Twotterwrench, I do respect you and all... but that was a bit harsh! Don't you think? He hasn't said anything in this thread to get that kind of reply, has he been an ass to your in other threads before or something???
