Well, after speculation, it's official.

This should be hysterical. What will be more hysterical will be the constant whining about Hollywood chosing a "Liberal mascot" for hosting their "Liberal left wing annual blow bash".

It's a brilliant choice.

Absolutely.

Stewart is great on his own...and can definitely hold his own. But it would also be great for him to bring some of his regular buds, like Lewis Black on board, and if he'd get Stephen Colbert to show up and do a "Hollywood And God" segment.

It definitely promises to be one of the more watchable iterations, at least...!

It might make the 3.5 hour show seem like 3 hours.

Good choice  Wink

Love the choice, personally! Maybe I will watch the self-congratulatory B.S. this year. As I think about it, perhaps we can throw a party? Any excuse to use up our liquor stores...

They both suck!

I saw Jon Stewart perform stand up live in Pittsburgh and I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life-- great choice, I'll be sure to watch!

So, I guess Dennis Miller was never in the running? Big grin

Looking forward to seeing Stewart, also relieved it's not Whoopi...
