Hi gang
Just wondered where everyone is planning to go for their holidays/vacation this year?
We have booked two weeks in Finikouda in August, a small fishing resort on mainland Greece. We have been to many of the Greek Islands but this place looks beautiful and has just enough to do, as in a few bars and a dreamy beach to slob on - bliss !!
Love to hear where you are going and has anyone heard of this resort ??

Hi, went to the Greek Islands last year, if you want somewhere to do nothing try Folegandros, rugged and barren but with a few good beaches and it is so small that everyone knows everyone!
This year a friend has invited me to stay at his place near Perpignan in the south west corner of France. Quite fancy taking the trip down there by TGV. It is that or Ryanair!

Our holiday month is January, and for some February. I've never had so many of my friends go on holiday. Most are going to the Atlantic coast, or to the south to tour around Patagonia and the forests, glaciers, and frontier towns. The rest are going to Chile's Pacific, Brazil, Bolivia, Uruguay, the Dominican, Curacao, or the United States.
I'm already reading a few complaints of locals in Bolivia, Chile, Uruguay and Brazil about how many argentine teens are travelling around, so for that I apologize!
As for me, nowhere because I have two broken legs, got no passport, and have no money.
I completely adore a free press. And on the other hand, I can't stand reporters.

Nowhere at the moment, as my bank account does not permit me to go anywhere. Hopefully, I'll be going to AMS for a weekend, then later on in the year, I want to go to either ACE or LCA, don't know yet. But if I play my cards right, I might be moving abroad again, just can't decide on where I want to go, as long as the weather is hot and the beach is nearby, that'll do for me.

Nowhere at the moment, because my partner might get a new job next month, which means that he obviously can't plan his vacation before having the job ... we'll see.

Orlando next month..supposed to be a Disney trip to meet friends with their kids. I'll skip Disney and go the airports instead.
Toronto in April for the A.net meet if it's still happening.
Atlanta at the end of March. Should have been tomorrow, but FL look pretty full coming back on Sunday and we're on standby tickets. So we gave up on the idea!
Other than that, I'll see where my spirit takes me, and how much vacation time I have left. Wouldn't mind doing LAX again, but might go to the Citation Airlift and do some midwest airports

Quoting YooYoo (Reply 10): How about the Ivory Coast, Congo or Afghanistan
Maybe next year.
Seriously, I want to go to Iran to get a few flights on rare aircraft types like the Saha Air 707, the Iran Air Tours Tu-154, the Mahan Air L1011 and Tu-204, etc. Afterwards I have planned a few days in Dubai to relax from all the flights.
I think I won't go, the retard of an Iranian president makes the situation unpredictable since he comes up with another provocation every second day.

We're going to New Zealand the week after next, LHR-HKG-AKL-NSN-AKL-HKG-LHR. We're hopefully going somewhere else later in the year, but likely to be just somewhere in the UK.
Winter is the best time of year to go from the UK - I can't understand why more people don't. It's the middle of winter so you're getting much better weather, plus everywhere's quiet as the kids are all at school (unless you're heading to the middle of summer in NZ!)

Quoting Sabena332 (Reply 9): I am planning a trip to the United Arab Emirates and Iran in March/April but I am not sure if I should go.
Scratch it and join the Las Vegas meet up March 24-27.......

If it's not around the time of the Las Vegas meet up, I'm sure some of the ATL contingent can throw something together.
Other than the LAS meet up in March (Not really calling it a vacation since I'm not taking any time off from work for it.), my only vacation plans are for November, when I go back to Las Vegas.

I've booked 2 weeks in June at Torba in Turkey for the familiy. A nice all inclusive package booked on the net. That saved me a couple of hundred pounds.
For those of you still to decide, make sure you check out the numerous sites that give 'unbiassed' opinions before you book. I remember once finding the ideal place in a tour operator's brochure. I checked it out on http://www.holidays-uncovered.co.uk/frames.htm and several people had commented on the restaurant. One had said that it reminded him of a canteen in a Russian tractor factory! That was a 4* hotel too.
If you are spending a lot of money and using most of your precious holiday it pays to be prepared.

27 Mhodgson: Hoping to get away at some point, perhaps Lanzarote for the airport. I have a weekend away booked for February, but I don't consider them holidays!
