He's finally either lost one too many brain cells, or this is his way of thumbing his nose at everyone after all these years. Either way - funny as hell

"Splash" is just a nickname.

The dog's AKC name is "Mary Jo" out of "Oldsmobile" by "Scuba Rescue"

I also find that belly laugh funny. I wonder if he has another pet named "rocks" or Brandy, ok, ill leave it at that, I could go all night on this one.

Denis Leary on Ted Kennedy (You can't have a thread on Teddy without this bit):

That's what's wrong with this country. We always shoot the wrong guys. We shoot JFK, we shoot RFK, and it comes to Teddy, we go, "Ahh, leave him alone. He'll fuck it up himself, no problem. You know?" Biggest target in the whole God damn Kennedy family. He weighs about seven thousand pounds. You could shoot a bullet in Los Angeles and hit him in the ass in Boston five minutes later. He'd be standing on the lawn at the Kennedy compound going, "Ah Ah Ah Ah There's a bullet in my ass. Ah Ah ah ah"

Ted Kennedy. Good senator, but a bad date. You know what I'm saying, folks? One of those guys who gets home at four o'clock in the morning and goes, "What did I forget? Oh! The fucking girl! What's the matter with me? Jesus, where are my pants!? Holy shit!"

Dog's name is Splash, which helps to further the whole "Alcohol destroys brain cells" argument. Thanks Ted.......

I thought splash was the sound his car made when he drove it off that bridge.

On behalf of all the families that have lost family members to drowning in the company of sleazy politicians, I demand an apology!

He should have titled it: "Splash, the Story Behind the Drown-and-Run".

Too bloody right. A few years after it happened I found myself on Chappy with a few hours to kill-oops, bad word choice there, huh?

To make a turn onto the dirt road that led to the beach from the main road was more than ninety degrees. The main road executed a downhill sweeper to the left.
It was impossible to be on the dirt road without knowing it.

We just figured the erupting volcano drowned it out.
