I went on a date last night - the first in about 3 months.

It all went brilliantly - we got on extremely well. We had lots of laughs. The 5 hours flew-by faster than a fighter jet.

I think I had a pint* too many - well, you know, for the nerves - and so I can't remember 2% of what happened, which is unfortunate, because it's the kissing and 'tell-me-what-you-think' bit. I apparently told her some nice things at the end - but I can't remember what! And I can't remember the kissing, bar the initial bit. Hmph.

So, I pleaded intoxication - voluntary intoxication is not a defence, but hey-ho - but still feel stupid.

WHAT A PLONKER, RODNEY!

Have you ever been in such a situation? Any funny date stories to tell?

Cheers!

* A pint and a vodka and cranberry juice cost £7.15! LOL. And this is in a market town!

Who knows? Not me, sir!

She told me what I said and it all came flooding back - well, more like a wee trickle of a stream - so that's OK.

LMAO. I am fragile today, hence my inability to see what's coming.

LOL.

Wait, Mr., until I'm back to my usual take-no-nonsense form.  Silly
