And I may as well have obtained my wallet by having someone reach their hand up my arse and grab it, it hurt so much.

Bloody expensive this, "diamonds are a girls best friend" business. Man's best friend, (dog) is much cheaper.

How about it, does a sparkling diamond make you go weak at the knees, or are you happy with the simple things?

A sparkly thing once or twice is nice, but it's not something that I desperately NEED at all Big grin I can live without it... to me, the thought behind it matters more than the item itself.

The thought is there. She's a good wee thing and well worth the investment.

Just two weeks until the restraining order expires and I can present it to her!!

Your setting a precedent, she'll expect it all the time. Not only will your wallet shrink to the size of a small pimple on your bum, your overdraft/credit card balance will expand to the size of a small countries Debt!! Big grin

Maybe it's the vodka/crack cocktail talking, but I say throw caution to the wind.

She's lovely, and I recently observed her sitting on my lounge room floor, wine glass in hand, surrounded by CD's playing DJ by belting out some '80s classics all night. So pretty much a complete dork, but a lovable one.

It was slightly more romantic than your suggestion, although is it wrong to expect sex on tap for the rest of my life now??? Only if I mow the lawns right??

Went for a walk along the river, dropped on the knee, whipped out the bling-bling, tears, laughter etc.

Funnily enough I have now left her to ponder a life spent with me and I am at work. Hopefully she's still there when I get home.

It was romantic. Of course not like proposing in Cessna 172 while flying over Cook Mountain, but still - romantic enough - you did great job!!!

27 KiwiinOz : Good advice! You mean she won't just be content with my charming company? I'm pretty good at "pulling my weight" in terms of jobs so all will be fine
28 Gilligan : Then there are still two weeks to save yourself!! You could always try a girls second best friend, cubic zirconia, maybe she won't know the differenc
