LOL!!!
I would change mine, because ClassicLover sounds like I am saying I am some kind of Don Juan or something and we all know that's your department Pe@rson! It's actually because I like classic aircraft.
The other day I thought of a few things I would use - I've always used Callisto (one of the moons of Jupiter, not the other) for e-mail since 1996, but it would be something plane related. Unfortunately, I write this from the Terraces Lounge in Heathrow, I can't remember what I thought of.
So, an entire post where I didn't answer anything! You love me, you know you do
I do quite enjoy a spot of flying - more so when it's not in Economy!

LOL. 'Fraid it's not, little man. And it was kinda obvious, to me at least, that your interest was in aircraft; in fact, I didn't even think about it in musical terms.

How'd you know I am not tall? ... Just kidding. Well, you know, some people aren't you and would probably think differently. FlyAUA for example.

I think RootsAir is just about as great as my username can be.... I can't think of another one...I knew A.net for a while before joining and I thought a long time about which username I would put.... I had like 10 choices and RootsAir was the obvious one

When I chose "Birdwatching", I was referring to my hobby of plane spotting, or "bird watching" as I've been calling it for many years.
Most of you A.netters didn't get it... many of you have asked me if I was a bird watcher!

As to the topic at hand.
I had 2 choices in mind when I joined; QF25 which was a QF flight that went BNE-AKL-LAX;
But chose BNE and probably wouldn't change it for airliners.net
I like Web as a username, it's already taken on a.net. I might use that in the future on other message boards. I don't like using the same name twice if I can help it.

Well, Since the Retards at Yahoo are too incompetant to recover my brendan03 Id (Which I'm very much attached to) I took Boeing_767300ER (Supprised it was available)... not sure It'd be available on a.net though...

I did consider "Nosey bastard" & "Loudmouth" for obvious reasons but decided to stick with "Kiwiandrew" since it's my username in a number of different contexts ( I am always really pissed off when I try to sign up for it and found someone else has already hijacked my name )

I wouldn't change mine at all. This name goes back a long way to differentiate from when I was on the road or at home to people I know on AOL/AIM/iChat, and it just seemed logical to use here.
Sometimes people ask if my name has to do with West Highland terriers, or West Highland high school, which it doesn't--I'd never heard of either before making the Westy part (that stands for something else entirely).

It's a rather boring story, actually, lol. I started out life online with "WestH" in my screen name as a contraction for West Hollywood, where I lived at the time, instead of "WeHo", a reference that grates on me like fingernails on a blackboard.
People always referred to me online as Westy, and during one of the first great purges of old screen names at AOL, both Westy and my real first name were offered to me to be reserved when they became available. I took Westy, since that's what everyone I knew online called me offline in person, and the rest is history.
