Its been a while since we had one...
My Buffs are now 15-3, 5-2 in the Big 12, good enough for standing alone in 2nd place (1/2 game behind UT)...to many people, this is shocking, as we've never been known as a hoops school, and despite having the deepest and most experienced roster in the country this season, we were picked to finish 9th in the Big 12...that ain't happenin! We're goin to the big dance, long as we dont royally screw up during the latter half of the conference schedule...I foresee us entering the top 25 in the next poll on Monday...
Let's hear your take on your team or college hoops in general this season...

The Fighting Illini are ranked #8 overall with a 19-2 record. Big Ten record stands at 5-2 today after a good win against Purdue at home. That's only good enough however for a four way, possibly five way tie in the Big Ten for first place :-P

USAFHummer, you and I are constantly in discussions about our Big 12 teams, what with my attending Kansas. It sure is an exciting year, and it seems almost up for grab, as now Texas appears to actually be human in Big 12 play this season, so perhaps if things start falling that way, they may not, in fact, be a lock for conference victory.
Kansas, my dear school, is tied for 3rd in the Big 12 with Oklahoma, with Big 12 records of 4-2. Our next game is Big Monday when Coach K and his Texas Tech Red Raiders come up here to Lawrence...should be fun, I cant wait to be there!

Well Illinois beat Wisconsin soundly once again at the Kohl center tonight, however this isn't the same Wisconsin team of recent years. They're in a bit of a slump now having lost four of their last five, including that horrible loss to North Dakota State.

Quoting Tbar220 (Reply 4): including that horrible loss to North Dakota State.
Undoubtedly the biggest upset in recent memory in regular season play...
Meanwhile, we managed to hit #25 in the coaches' poll, but only 27th in the AP poll...we're off this week, so we don't play til Sunday @Iowa State, but if we win that, we should be ranked in both polls finally...

UCLA has been having a great season at the top of the Pac-10, even with big injuries and a mostly Freshman and Sophomore squad, and our defense has been intense lately. GO BRUINS!
We're gonna be awesome in a couple years.

Marquette is 16-6 and 6-3 in the Big East. Everyone (myself included) thought this would be a tough year for them, they have been much better than expected. Tough game against 'Nova on the road Saturday, though.
