Guys,
I currently hold a US Tourist Visa (B1) that is due to expire in MAY-2007. My passport expired and I got a new one. Now every time I go to the USA, I have to carry both passports and inmigration agents usually take longer to let me in when I cross by land to the US from Mexico.
I wanted to know if I can renew that Visa and get it stamped in my new passport. I don't wanna just transfer it because it's too much of a hassle to get it transfered if it is only going to last one more year.
Thanks for your replies,
Luis

Quoting AR1300 (Reply 1): yes, I think.I renew my visa while having the old one. They just stamp it ''cancelled without prejudice'' and issue a new one.
Didn't you have a Student's VISA and switched to a Tourist one? That would be different I guess.
Luis, it would be wise to call the US Consulate.
Cheers!

Looks like it shouldn't be a problem then.

I would too, but they charge USD 24 for 15 minutes worth of operator time.
Saludos desde Caracas,
