Coretta King was a lady who handled herself with class, despite the burden of being the widow of Dr. King for the past 36 years.

Mrs. King had been in failing health for a few years now, and recently had suffered some serious complications.

I hope that her children can find a way, on her behalf, to honor their fathers legacy properly, and that Dr. Kings memory will be used to keep reinforcing his values and dreams.

May she rest in peace.

Mrs. King is one of my favorite people in American history. She was always dignified, always an inspiration.

I'm proud to be part of a country that can produce such a wonderful force for good.

She deserves the praise that we give her today.

It is worth noting that the Senate has just noted her passing with honor during the Chaplain's prayer, and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid is paying tribute to her as I write.

The civil rights movement, and all Americans, were truly blessed by such a brilliant and honorable life.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Coretta Scott King is being held right now, and is being covered live on C-SPAN 2 and CNN.

The ceremony is very dignified. President Bush is in attendance.

Hillary Clinton is talking at the service right now. Can't say I ever heard applause at a funeral before....

I am not happy with the politicization of the funeral. Mrs. King deserved better.
