Question About Coffe Mugs

Moin everyone!

Seeking a way to complement my "Airbus" keyband with something "Boeing", I stumbled on some coffee mugs they offer on their website, this one interesting me the most: http://www.boeingstore.com/catalog/index.cfm?fuseaction=product&id=282

Now I'd like to know, should any of you happen to own something similar, how tightly these mugs seal. Can you even put them in a backpack without soiling its contents, or is that too much of a risk? Second, is there any way one could order one of them from inside the EU? I'd like to avoid paying customs on it, and preferably pay via bank transfer as opposed to credit card.

Any help is much appreciated!

As it's low value you should not get charged duty on it. I think there is a cutoff point below which they don't collect any charges.

If I buy a DVD from Hong Kong or sopmething from a Chinese EBayer, below £16 (or probably 25 euros) there was no charges made. It isn't worth collecting and would cost customs more to collect it.

Nice to see Boeing selling internationally again. They used to do a jacket I wanted but wouldn't ship overseas at one point.

I used to order my cigarettes in Russia (approx. 20 USD for a carton Marlboro Light), they send it to me in a blue-white colored box which had huge Cyrillic letters on it (my mailman even asked me once if I ordered plutonium ). I saw on the post stamps that it arrived by airmail at FRA, sorry, but when the German customs is so utter stupid to not notice such a box for 6 (!!!) times, then should a coffee mug be the last thing that will catch these retards' attention.

Patrick

Edit: Typo

Hmmm... they noticed my 1/500 model of KLM's "The world is just a click away!" 744 which I found nowhere but at a US online shop... the things "Zivi-Sold" buys you! They also care about the "alfinim" (sweet made from sugar cane juice) my Brazilian host family sends me every now and then; guess it looks a bit suspicious to the drug guys.  Silly
