I was in Las Vegas this last weekend. It took me 10 hours to drive back and I am in no mood to do that drive again anytime soon. So I will be flying to Las Vegas this time around. I will stay at the Stardust.

I'm going to try to make it to Fremont Street, Star Trek: The Experience , and/or the Stratosphere sometime, too, if there's time. That's if we don't go as a group in some form.
I'm thinking about renting a car Monday morning at 08:00 to do some independent sightseeing. One of the stops HAS to be Red Rock Canyon. My AA sponsor says I'm "dancing with the devil" by going to Vegas for a get-together. He'll give me his blessing if I bring back a souvenir from Red Rock Canyon. So I'll get him a shot glass.
If anyone wants to go somewhere on Monday and split the $25 (total with tax) car rental, they're more than welcome. Maybe I'll splurge and rent a Mustang convertible or whatever. I have to have the car back at the airport by 16:00 so I can catch my flight home.
Also...I'm bringing my crappy, old 1.3 megapixel digital camera to record the event. Should we have those people who plan to bring a camera (still and/or video) indicate such? Just so we know how many there'll be.
