Hi there...
Kinda, crazy, but if you think about what i say, it does fit.
Firstly, i was thinking in Math today about technology, and where it will go in the future. Already we can chat to people on the other side of the world, and have our weekly shopping delivered to our door. It got me thinking about just how far we can take the power of the internet, and how in the future we may spend the whole day at home on the Computer, sorting our bills, chatting with friends and working.
Most of my family do this already, but if this were to be in the future, not many people could live like this because there is still Food to produce and sell, Computers to build, Farming, Industrial jobs etc.. So there was a piece missing in our future. But then i realized..
Since the 1950's, the dawn of technology beyond the dreams of that age, people were building Computers, at the same time premature Robots were being made, just to test. Technology of both inventions have been greatly advanced, seen as both work under the same principles (electricity, Microchips, memory, CPU etc), so in the future, everything physically done by man, will eventually be automated or done by robots.
Its a strange thought, but as long as there is someone to look over these robots, automated systems (provided they don't have personalities, minds of their own etc ), this could work. And Humans would just become the operators of the world, without actually having anything to do with it.
Very childish way of thinking, but it could become reality (we already have plans for an internet university where everything, down to communication and activities in spare time is done on computers)..

Dunno, I think that in the future all human races will "blend into each other" and there will be only one. Not that it makes much sense to other people though...

Two theories...
1. The robots you mention will develop and become super smart, take over the human race, and build the Matrix
2. We will unite into one people, and become one planetwide government. We will discover that we are not alone when a Star Destroyed drops out of hyperspace in our solar system and declares our system an entity of the Imperial Galaxy, under Emporer Palpatine.

I think we as humans have become way too dependant on machinery to do the most remedial tasks. Eventually we will all be brains with legs. That's what we'll evolve into.

lol yeah in the future hopefully they will be able to implant knowledge into our head...like in Calvin and Hobbes! But seriously...if we survive ourselves...maybe we will become one people and find other intelligent life on other planets...and computers/robots will be very important. I also believe that if human cloning is allowed...a superhuman breed will come about....and kill all of us regulars! not too far fetched if u think about it

I'm afraid i have to disagrey with all of you, Cybernetics and bots are expensive. I belive the future will see millons of miners working to the death to send minerials to the rich. The middle class will be made into security guards and riot police and solgiers and non mining workers. whether or not we get out of the solor system is for thr rich to decide
